I'd like to see Jimbo (Jim Pomeroy) on one of his good days. On good equipment. At a track like Glen Helen or last Saturdays High Point......he'd turn some heads. And drop some jaws.

MAGOO! If he'd trained then like the riders do these days he would have rewritten moto history as we know it. That guy was a total BEAST!

For one moto it's difficult to say. Anyone that had a lot of raw speed would be a good pick. Probably stew
Over a season different story. RC or everts

RC on any outdoor national track. pure aggression.
There is no debate, how anyone can debate this is beyond me. People forget his stats and beat downs.

People forget that Rc would take it to james outdoors. Probably mainly because james was younger and rc was on a much better training program

Look I normally wouldn't post a topic like this because it's been done a million times over but it's been a slow day at work. Soo just like the topic says if you could pick anyone in their Prime for a Moto at a National who would it be, RC from 2006, Stew from 2008,RV from 2011, Everts from 2002 to 2006 or even Cairoli in the early years of the 450 class when he was soo dominant. Those are just a few that come to mind.

So hard to decide

Magoo on a factory honda 500 was a sight to behold. With a modern 450, disc brakes, and good suspension, holy cow

Then there is bailey, so smooth and creative....

But then I think about the battles that bailey had with glover.

Broc was on that pig yz 490, and held his own.

I think I will go with broc glover.

After all, this is a fantasy, and with all the other picks I'll help fill the gate, and bloc could surprise a lot of people. ..

199 if he would have stayed healthy and on a big bike. Even if he didn't win it was always fun and/or interesting when he was racing.

Probably whatever the year comparison... Magoo takes this comparison for me. Legend... and timeless.

I got to watch him at Sears Point on a Maico.
I was at Riverfront MX when the announcer interrupted and told of his Trophee and Motocross des Nations wins.
He was even at a few local races - I watched him pass a top local pro in a flat hairpin turn with one rut by riding the top of the rut on top of the local pro- feet up! Never seen that much skill before or since.

By that standard, didn't Rc lap up to second place at a national one time?
