OK, WTH? He starts off a couple seconds off the pace then midway drops another 4-5 secs per lap. Hurt, fitness, crap setup? I expected this his first 4 or so races back, but it just seems to be getting worse. I really thought he'd do better on the Zook, but damn, he looks way worse. Is there some news I missed along the way here?

Loose sprocket bolts. Sag is way off. Definitely set up issue.

Honestly, I don't know, and I don't think we've missed any news.

It's pretty simple, really. He's not as fast as the guys finishing ahead of him and that's the reality.

He's mentally checked out...he's waiting for the outdoors. Problem is, he'll get smoked there too.

I think you guys all got it right, Bam Bam is not what he used to be. He just turned 25 and hasn't made it happen. Gonna be hard to find another gear against the top 5 right now.

I think it's a stoking problem.

I think I hear the fat lady singing. Honestly who wants this guy on their team next year? No one likes him, he can't finish inside the top 10 anymore, and he's a pussy. That doesn't sound like a winning combination to me.

He needs to drop a tooth on his rear sprocket.

I personally think he is just waiting for the Nationals to start. Not really pushing anything in Supercross in an attempt to stay healthy.

I think you are wrong, if healthy he will get 5-7 podiums.

Bikes don't handle well at 10K rpm.

Who knew?

Besides just not having that extra bit that Eli, Ryan and (possibly still) Ken are able to give, I think we are seeing the inevitable result of multiple team/bike changes as if the bike is the problem. Although occasionally a bike/rider/team don't mesh and the rider finds success elsewhere (Hill back to PC etc), most of the time it is a form of quitting. The rider blames the bike for their career plateauing and switches teams. They talk about being rejuvenated, needing a fresh start, etc. they get a free pass for a season or two because they're "getting used to the new team," "getting setup dialed," etc. then when the results don't come they switch bikes and/or teams, and repeat. More excuses come and pretty soon they are out of a ride.

In my opinion he would've been better to stick it out with Honda, but that's assuming they would've kept him.

Just goes to show how much it takes to win at that level, I don't deny the guy rides like a jerk sometimes, but he's got a ton of talent and still can't make it happen. The high RPM thing definitely doesn't help him, too bad he can't adjust his technique, it doesn't seem like that hard of a change to make, if you want to win.

I saw him and Weimer have a team meeting early in the main. Not sure if that's the incident that caused him to lose the front half of his front fender or not.

When he was on Honda the dude was fast. Was battling for wins on the Honda now he's battling for top 10 at best. I don't even know what to think for outdoors.

Yes. Podiums. He's being paid to WIN. Has he even got a top 5 in SX since going to JGR?

When I saw him circulating with the fender broken off I immediately thought........block pass/T-bone gone bad.

Curious what happened though.

Gotta have a ton of mental strength to do what they do and I think he may be low on it.

Sure he's played his cards right.... hight profile teams, big paychecks, secured contract through the 2018 season@ JGR, less than spectacular results. Next stop will be a factory MTB ride with the same results.

Pretty sure it's 2017 only.
