That WAS a clinic if there ever was one.

Holy crap! 20th in the first turn....wins by 6 seconds.

One of the most incredible sx rides of all time. Yes!...all time. Especially on that track , which looked like it was hard to pass on.

Eli has nights / days where he is just super human.

Equal. I was at Toronto 2014. James started further forward, but he was also the only dude to figure out that one rhythm. Eli just did that shit doing the same rhythms faster than everyone else.

Both performances were absolutely unbelievable. Can't take away from either one.

Tomac was 17th going into turn 1. 3 spots doesn't mean much, but he was a little further forward

Actually, there are several people measuring it if you read above.
I've watched both. Both races amazing.
Stewart came from 14th. Eli came from 20th on a smaller looking track , past the 3 time champion and won by 6 seconds.

I don't think it's a dick measuring contest...but you sure are coming off like a dick. Congrats.....dickhead.

22 guys on the gate. Only 2 guys behind him. They showed the replay like 5 times.

Jeffros drunk AGAIN!!! (but its most likely on that awesome PNW beer so I am jealous)

Since they lost timing and scoring, all whe think we know about 2014 is he was in about 14th at the beginning. We dont know how many seconds he was behind first. Tomac was about 10.5 seconds at the largest gap. They didnt even notice Stew till he was in about 6th so we missed half his passes. Toronto 2014: "The greatest SX comeback of all time" according to KW14 in the booth that night .... until tonight. Its now tied in my book.

Nope..only had a few tonight , many hours ago. Was just saying the guy was a dick for down playing Eli's ride....when Eli made up even more positions then James did on the Toronto night. On paper....Eli had a more epic ride tonight , but the hard core Stewart fans will still try and down play it. It's simple....they're idiots.

Stated a few times I see them as equal rides. I watched JS7 at Toronto live. He had 3 sections where he had his own rhythms, and they were HUGE. He blew by Dungey, Poto(who admittedly was sick at that race) KR94, Barcia (on Honda)

Eli was just beast mode all night. Nothing fancy like a big quad just absolutely attacking the track.

Tough to compare the 2 rides because of that, The results were similar, but the executions were different.

the Toronto track in my opinion was way more technical, who cares though I was blown away lastnight by eli performance! epic ride!

There you go! I'm not downplaying Eli's ride last night. I was stoked! However, Toronto 14 had the guys in the booth going ape shit. Windham, Shaheen and Emig talked about it the whole race. You didn't get that as much last night. Track in Toronto was insane!

Was that ride epic last night? Fuck yeah! Is Tomac the fastest guy on a MX bike right now? hell yeah! Was it the most epic comeback of all time? Idk, but it sure was up there and I'm glad I stayed up to watch it.
For the record I think RJ's come back at the colosseum in '87-'88? Might be one of the best.

Stew had a decent year in 2014 with a handful of wins but he wasnt the fastest guy at most of the races. Thats what made his Toronto ride so exciting for the guys in the booth. If he had caught and dropped a healthy Villopoto it would be a different story. Tomac didnt have to pass Marvin but there was a point where marv was right behind him and looked like he might make a pass but then he couldnt keep up with Tomac as he cut throught the rest of the field.

First time in along time my heart was pumping watching Tomac fly through the pack, I felt like i did when stew was racing RC. Simply Amazing! Anyone know how many laps they ended up running?

Paging Peelout...... I want to hear from someone who was there... Sounded like the crowd was going nuts

Absolutely amazing ride. I thought we were going to see another Atlanta, where Eli catches up but just runs out of time. The fact that he not only caught but left Dungey still blows my mind.

If that's not a clinic, please show me what one is!

He just made all the best riders look like B riders!

The big difference is that Stew didn't have much to loose, he was about 50 points behind RV at that point.
Tomac was tied for the points lead and was going for it but still couldn't take too big off a risk.
Very impressive

Yes, he was nuclear fast, but we all know how that usually comes back to bite ya at some point. If he can keep it on 2 wheels fantastic, but we've all seen how this has played out in the past.

He has nine wins now. All season, people have been saying it's going to bite him. We only have two races left and he's proven to be able to do this and stay on two wheels.

No matter what anybody says about Roczen's injury, Kenny has never had a ride like Eli's at SLC.

That ride was every bit as impressive as AC's ride last week in Italy.

I forgot which round it was, but when they finally bolted that green plastic to a Honda frame, Eli came back instantly. Something changed instantly, in a major way, and it wasnt the sprocket bolts

To me, what I see is one guy with a half dozen 450 titles, who's ready to start a family vs a guy very hungry for his first title.

Different points career wise. RD has had plenty of holy shit rides in his time too.
