If Tennant did get this ride 100% on his own when his best finish at Loretta's is a 4th place 6 years ago he must be the best salesman in the world. Looks like he didn't qualify for Loretta's in 2015 and got a 16th and 38th last year.

I don't hate the kid for following his dreams, he's got a golden opportunity. But when you show up to your first arenacross and get DQ'd for starting drama after qualifying 14th, your mechanic sucker punches another rider's dad and you have to meet with the AMA afterwards things like this are going to get pulled out of the woodwork...

I'm gonna leave this one alone now. Challen is a big boy and if he's going to make it in the sport he needs to act like it. He's got the world at toes and next weekend is a new beginning. Best of luck, kid.

Yes, I saw his IG post about getting picked up by Star. Big deal. Kid is young and has a lot to learn. I'm not quite ready to crucify him yet.

Like you, I am not ready to crucify him . . . yet, but something should be done. Personally I think maybe a time out (since we are all trying to be PC around here, lol) is in order of maybe the rest of the season. The alternative to the PC approach of an ass whipping for him and the mechanic might also prove effective.

(Anyone know if the mechanic was part of the presumed deal made with Star? Did Tennant supply the mechanic?)

He definitely seems like a spoiled entitled brat. No disagreement there.

Professional motocross racing is dog eat dog out there and not sure this kid has the mental fortitude to succeed long term.

My daughter has one year left in med school. She continuously gets reviews from her professors (and now the rotation surgeons) about her ability to communicate with people of all levels. That means everybody from strung out inner city junkies to multi-millionaire patients. Her entire life, she has been exposed to the entire spectrum of people. But, go ahead and be a "GOOD" parent and shelter your kids from the "bad crowd". Don't expose them to new ideas. Hell, make them clones. Whatever works for you.

Tennant in his debut tried to clean out Osby, Osby cleaned him back then Tennant kicked Osby after the finish while his mechanic fought Osby's dad. Hell of a way to make a statement on your AX debut. Next week should be interesting.

I'm not here to crucify Tennant or write him off just yet as others have also said, just pointing out facts...but someone needs to get the kid, his parents, his mechanic and the rest of his entourage in check. His mom trashing Osby for "not being good enough for SX/MX" or "not being good enough for a factory ride" etc. etc. is a really bad look for Star, and a really ignorant remark.

BTW looks like they had a meeting with the AMA and Tennant's mechanic admitted to sucker punching Osby's dad.

Very classy debut, bud. Maybe take notes from McAdoo and Forkner... they didn't seem to have these same issues of getting DQ'd in their first arenacross and making themselves out to be fools. Both handled their biz the way a FACTORY RIDER would be expected to. 1 race, 1 DQ, 1 meeting with the AMA.... lets hope his follow up is better than the debut.

I have a feeling he's going to be a serious target for everyone else on the track, though... if he keeps qualifying 14th however, he will be so far back that it won't matter for a few laps when the leaders come around to lap him.

(Just like anyone) challen tried to take Josh out in the next one and Osby went over the burm. Josh cut the track to get back with Challen and then ghost rode his bike 4th gear into Challen and took them both out. Josh's bike kept running and he got back on and went back to racing while Challen tried to get his started. By the time CT got his started Josh was coming by flipping him off and yelling and cussing. When they were pulling off the track Josh's daddy was trying to make his way to Challen when CTs mechanic pushed him and he tripped into Challen's bike. He then got up and put the mechanic in head lock and when he got out of it he hit osbys dad in the forehead. AMA has the video of the race. Josh was DQed for the pass & CT for the kick. None of you dumbasses can say you wouldn't have been mad if someone was trying to hurt you because they can't handle the heat you were reciprocating. NO Tennant's haven't spoke any words towards this on social media or will speak, and Challen is trying to be the bigger person about the situation. They're good people, and they don't want bigger issues than what Osby has caused by showing "his side" of the story. Josh has been known as a dick (if it's not obvious by the people who favor him because they aren't all that great either.) Challen earned his ride from the beginning, and Josh was just mad he was getting passed by someone who was racing his first AX.
