I like Canard a lot, but I don't think it's "shitting on him" to point out that he crashes. A lot. Like someone said in a previous post, has he ever completed a full 450 season since moving up in 2011? This is his 7th season on big bikes and he has yet to make it a full year without sitting out multiple races (or championships) because of injury.

I knew you guys would like that. Got to admit it though, with regards to high profile riders who give it up to the man upstairs in podium speeches, Webb's hurt and Canard hasn't had a break from injury in a long time. Just saying.

Another tough patch of misfortune for Trey, just when he was starting to improve his results with the new team.

A lesser man wouldn't stand a chance going through everything he has. Hoping for a quick turn around, he deserves it.

I obviously have respect for what these guys can do on the track and I'm sure they're great fellas in their normal family lives, but having faith in some omnipresent being doesn't automatically make someone an upstanding dude now does it.

Riders thanking some god or whatever is fine. We have a thing called freedom of religion in the western world. And everyones religions and beliefs should be respected.

But, i would like to think that my own actions are the decisive factor when it comes to pretty much everything. Not a dude sitting on the clouds.

Now to more on topic. Trey is a disappointment. He is crashing even more on KTM compared to the Honda, and i thought that was impossible to do for him.

I think in his heart Trey has already stepped away from racing. Since he was married he's been in the spotlight less and less. Given the fact he sold his facility in OK I'm guessing he's prepping for a family life and a life of doing missions with his wife. And that's ok.
Not being 100% focused on racing when you're at the highest level leads to crashes...some are simple and you never notice...some bite you hard enough to keep you out of the race(s). I seriously questioned a friend at KTM when they took Canard over Wilson...it was a tough decision but, it didn't take long to get a rejuvenated Wilson back under their canopy.

I've been a Canard fan for years, and I am also a big fan of his attitude & authentic faith. He's not a bandwagon guy. He's a Christian, and is very public about it. That's cool in my book. If you're gonna be something, be it...don't fake it. I really hope you're right about him looking to a future of ministry with his wife. In my mind, he is more than a bit injury prone...and maybe now he's riding thinking about getting hurt more than not.

I don't know, but I'd sure rather see Trey retire from the sport than to see him get badly hurt again.
