I'd figure close to that...and it's a shame. Too much talent out there for him to break the top-5.

A little further up after the first few back i bet he'll struggle for a few then 5th best night and 7-10th average

It's not a secret that he had his problems with the Yamaha but also had his really good races. He sounds really happy with where he's at in an interview I read I think in twmx

I remember a barcia that looked like he was always having twice as much fun as everyone else on the track, the guy I last saw in 2015 at the washougal national

Well, Malcom beat him in Europe and has since had more time on the bike than Barcia. So if Malcom is barely cracking the top 10, I'll be surprised to see Barcia do it on his first race back. I'm with Cameron here, if he can get a good start he can qualify out of the heat but I don't see him making it 20 minutes inside the top 10.

He will improve though.

I have Barcia down for a Top 7 easy. I think we are going to see a very fast Bam Bam. Just a random opinion though.

He'll still have better fitness than Mookie on Saturday Grinning Grinning

I think after he races himself into shape that he'll be a solid top 5 guy on his best days. He hasn't been able to ride much at all so I wouldn't be surprised to see him struggle at first.

Iff he's not firing on al cilinders AKA not 100% ready he will struggle to get in the main and you can stamp that

I don't expect much the first 3 or 5 races but i really want to see him on the podium at least once. He was a contender on the Honda and Peick looked great on that "new" bike.

I can't belive all of you who truly look for Barcia to hit the podium within a race or two after his return. With comp like RD, Musquin, Tomac, Anderson & the like...who are riding faster and harder than they were last year, do you really expect Justin to be a top-5 regular? He wasn't much of a threat on the Yamaha really, and even though he is on a new bike...do you expect the Suzuki to be so much of an improvement that he'll be a contender?

I think people like to forget he's a 2 time 250 SX champion as well as a 450 national and SX race winner. He's been on top before and he can do it again. He just needs to be healthy and have some confidence.

Odd, he's not on the entry list on MotocrossFantasy.com. I think he's a 5th-7th shot in MSP.

Coming off an injury, it will take him a bit to get up to speed.

His average SX finish with JGR has been 11.8, so prob somewhere below that.

Im just going to throw 18th out there. He hasn't raced since lille, he will be tighter than crap by the end of the main. I hope he proves me wrong I actually don't mind Barcia.

well I know since Barcia has gotten hurt he has been riding at MTF again he hasn't done that since 2009 his rookie season which was arguably one of his best seasons at least outdoors maybe we will see a different JB51 this year he says hes been having fun again. i hope to see him up front hes fun to watch!

I think a solid night would be a 7th - 10th. Stay healthy and make progress. He has speed to do better when he's feeling good. Everyone else on the gate has some racing under them.....so the goal would be just to get out of there in one piece!

I really don't see who you're talking about? The consensus seems more like 7-10
