It's coming up on week 5 of Supercross and you're getting everything prepared to load into the rig to "go east" after Oakland (I know, technically "East" doesn't start until Minnesota!). As you load up, we...the fans, would love to see you make room for Deano's bike(s) & help him keep racing.

We truly appreciate the effort you've made to help him race this season; but, we're getting concerned that he's not going to get the full benefit of the effort and results he's produced to date. What's not talked about: this all costs money. Well, results cost money and Deano's been in the MAIN every week. Those results make your product look good. Real good. Obviously, there's "No Quit" in Deano.

So, in the interest of all things Yamaha...
"Let Deano Ride".

I remain hopeful,

Manny

Can you write one to HRC as well to consider him for their team in Roczen's absence ? Smile Smile Smile

Either way it would be cool to see him on a factory ride.

Get Deano a spot, watch him improve. Don't get him a spot, watch him improve elsewhere. The mistake would obviously be the latter.

Talked to him for a while before the show last night. He doesn't know what he's doing after Oakland. He has a Sprinter and bikes (located in FL) but doesn't really want to send his dad on the road and of course the money factor too.
Can't blame the Factory team, as they are focusing on their two guys, and doing well in my opinion, to take on more luggage.
I want to see him continue too, but it's got to make sense for him.

The HRC thing sounds more realistic because yamaha has 2 guys who are doing well and healthy. I wish HRC would give him the chance but I don't see them filling the spot.

I, too, get the factories situation...
But:
1. His results are improving.
2. He's finishing the Mains in better shape (lap times late in the main have improved).
3. He makes their Bike look REALLY GOOD (it's very "Production Based").
4. He's been very effective/productive in his social media.
5. He's gets his fair-share of "Shout Outs" on TV.
6. His shrouds are very "Yamaha"...his whole "look" is very "Corporate Blue" in a good way & not muddled up w/ other sponsors.

+1. He deserves it.

However as a potential plan B: which dealers can lend him a bike + mechanic + van in exchange of coming to the shop and local track for a training day, in each of the remaining east rounds ? And if he does that, can he still make a living minus all the costs to train and insure himself ?

How much could it cost for them to throw his race bike in the hauler and help him out with some travel expenses.

Exactly. He is willing to ride for next to nothing. Hauling an extra bike and a few bags of gear around doesnt sound that complicated considering he's doing pretty on a very production bike.

That or Ride365 should throw him a bone and get him to team up with malcom. They have a huge semi for one guy?

Thanks for this post. Big fan of Dean Wilson. Really hope Yamaha finds a way to keep him on blue and in the series. Three Yamahas in the top ten at some rounds doesn't seem out of the question if they stick with him.

Let him put out of the back of the Yamahauler under an EZ Up. It's not like this has never been done before. In a Yamaha team truck... Wink

Nice post, lovely thought Manny, Dean is a past champ, a nice kid and deserving of support from fans and hopefully a team.

Fingers crossed for him, I am surprised other teams haven't shown an interest over this side of the pond or maybe they have, maybe he changes paths if things don't work out over there sometime soon.
