I would be really surprised if Marvin didn't get a win (maybe multiples) and no reason Anderson can't get one under the right conditions.

I agree with that, I am super stoked to watch the race this Saturday too. And yes, hopefully somebody can turn up the heat and not let the Diesel do what he does best - take the title with consistency.

You would think Eli but he sure isn't giving us much to get excited about. Based on Coop's history I'll bet he podiums sooner than later and wins one this year. All that said I'd still put my money on ET3 just because of Daytona.

Put me in for Marv as well. They have finished 2/3 or 1/2. If Marvin gets the jump on Dungey I can see him riding around behind his teammate. Not saying that he wouldn't capitalize on a mistake, but I wouldn't think he would put an aggressive move on him for the win.

Dungey at Phoenix (2010-2016):
1-5-1-8-3-3-2

Anything can happen (like we saw last weekend), but hard to bet against Dungey. Marv's 27 and not getting any younger. If there's anytime to lay it all out there, this is the round. With that said, that dirt at Glendale (and indoors) might not be to Musquin's liking. Finished 9th there last year (may have crashed...don't know).

Looking forward to the gate drop.

Does anybody really "have to step up"? Marvin is the only one who has shown any consistent chance of winning, and teammates or not Dungey won't wanna play second fiddle.

Dungey only up 7 on marv...............still gonna be on attack mode for next couple weeks..........real battle is who can close on marvin??? seely or anderson need to get between him and dungy soon.........I'd say anderson more aggressive and likely to get on top step if dungey has some kind of problem.........and thats the only way it will happen

On paper RD has this...but we race for a reason.

2 weeks ago I thought Kroc was a runaway and it was his for the taking, 1 week ago I felt like we were going to see an epic back and forth between #1 and #94 for the entire season with a different rider at a distant 3rd every week and an occasional good ride from Eli....

This week.....hell..Dungey should ride to the front and manage the race, and the series. Only way it can go sideways is if he allows it or causes it.

If I was in Vegas I'd take Ryan Dungey plus 8 seconds.

Why is no one talking about Seley?? Seley has been very consistent so far. Plus now that K-Roc is out of the picture I see the speed him and Dungey where pushing to slightly fade away. Yea Dungey can turn some hot laps but just as you saw in A2 Dungey wasn't pulling away like him and Roczen where when they where pushing each other in San Diego. Dungey won by 3 seconds in Anahiem over Marvin.

Just my thoughts i could be very wrong and Dungey could pull away and win by 20 seconds I just believe sometimes it takes another rider riding just a hare bit faster to cause you to step it up one extra level.
That is Just my 2-cents on the topic.

Yeah, on paper Dungey's chances are very good.
I believe there are several avenues for a championship to go sideways though.

Food for thought. Tomac and his re-habbed shoulders grabbed a 3rd last year at Phoenix (Qualified 5th almost 1 second down on leader Dungey.) He won there in 2015. We all know he has the speed. If this thing really is mental, this could be the perfect venue for him to get back on track based on prior results, confidence, and track surface.

So, going with Eli to have a good enough ride to win this weekend. Will he win? Probably not. If Eli's unable to get it done this weekend, Marvin will be the first rider (without the #94 or #1 on his plate) to win this season. Somewhere between Oakland and Las Vegas. Cool
