How do you generate interest about yourself when you cant do it with your racing? Use hype. Straight outta the PT Barnum playbook.

Shit talkers like yourself are doing it for him, and then criticizing him for it in the same breath. Pretty amazing if you spend a whole 4 seconds of analytical thought on it.
I've been visiting this site for years, the pink panther is NOT a shit talker that I've ever seen- he's one of the long time vital guys that makes this place worth reading just team green ml etc etc. I do wish that one kid ddavis was still posting, but it seems he's got a few relatives maybe that post now. I can't remember the name but the kid that types in all caps with fractured English is pretty awesome Woohoo

You are mistaken if you think I give a rats ass whether ANY racer makes the gate or not.

"Illuminati". LOL Tooooo funny.
The hype has been manufactured and perpetuated by his fanboys online and podcast hosts looking to fill segments. The last time JS7 spoke, he said he's not done and wants to get back out there but doesn't have anything lined up. Nothing has changed. There is nothing to say, nothing to post. He has no ride, no offers, and no plan to do it himself. The rumor he would return in Oakland doesn't appear to have come from the Stewart camp.

I really hope that JS7 isn't waiting until Daytona thinking that the field might have more injuries and give him a better chance of finishing in the Top 5. While I was never a big fan he was a true bad ass in his prime and I wish he would just walk away somewhat healthy and enjoy the next chapter of his life.

When Matthes got back from Lille he reported that Mookie told him he had never spoken to Bret Cue/Ride 365, this was after the Stewarts were mentioned in some Ride365 posts.

Maybe it was in the works at the time maybe it wasnt. At this point it seems likely that it was at least an idea.

Now Mookie says that there was never talk of JS7 at Oakland and there are zero bikes at the Stewart compound and James may be back at the East Coast. This shit just doesnt add up. But if you take it at face value and James has not been riding i dont know if its a good idea for him to show up at all.

Most pros are so unequipped to do their profession it's laughable.

100K people at Glamis over the 3 day weekend are better equipped than 90% of factory teams.

Think about that. And out of all those people, maybe 1% have ever raced anything in their lives.
Preach it Skidaddle. Always gives me a chuckle to hear top level pro riders say that they don't even have a bike to practice on. And the ones who try to make a comeback but only if someone is willing to put forth a ton of money and a top tier effort. After all, they aren't going to go out there and ride junk. Then come race day they DNF/DNS.

Well said. I find it hard to believe there wasn't something for either of them to ride, especially with so many of the photos that had been shared the past few months. Definitely a head scratcher.

Reading this makes me respect a guy like deano. He's got a sliver of the money that the Stewart have. But is still out there doing it on his own. I'm glad Malcom is back but I have no hope for js7. That ship has sailed. He's going to get a blister in free practice and then make an Instagram video saying how bad he wants to race.

I don't know, I don't recall James announcing his retirement at A1 and doing a parade lap surrounded by his closest sponsors.

So Malcom put this whole motor program together with factory suspension ? Got the bike from a Suzuki dealer and ran off like a bandit from Florida with all the goodies ? I'm sure James had something to do with the Yosh program and it's his company that sponsors the amateur rider correct ? Seems to me that Big Brother took care of little Brother and sent him on his way. I'm sure James will be back soon enough when he feels he is ready to join the team.

Glad Malcom will be out there, he's fun to watch. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't skeptical on the story.Unsure

But the dude hardly EVER post on social media.

Agreed on your point about suspension. I was hoping to get into that a bit more with him, but I already took up way more time than I said I would!

Thanks! We're trying to raise the level each year, so hopefully you'll think it's even better this season! We're always open to feedback...

As far as I know, they bought the motors from Yosh, and are getting FMF support.

Mx vice are my favourite Euro journalist's they do a great job,ask the right questions and keep it respectful with good content. Awesome to see Mookie out on a bike finally, looks like he has struggled to scrape this together but hopefully he can now show us what he's made of. I actually caught a few clips of him on MX Vice Snapchat and he looked reasonable. In and around the Deano mark will be a solid start. Great to have him on the line.
That's awesome to hear. Thanks for following all our stuff! We leave California the week before Qatar, so will be back to the MXGP stuff soon enough!

We did! I was out there with our videographer. We'll have it up on our IG (@mxvice) or Facebook (MXVice.com) early on tomorrow.

Stoked to hear that! Always tried to avoid that favouritism with MXGP coverage, as it confuses me why some people treat riders differently based on their nationality.
