At this point, who fucking cares ?? These days I just look up, and pay attention when the gate drops. And tune out again after the podium interviews. And even then, over half the stuff they focus on has little to do with on track action. Just watched the MXGP's. Guess it's too much to ask for a simple broadcast style like Malin produces.

I feel like they are releasing the components too slowly. The frame vid was interesting I guess, but by the time they released the engine video two weeks later..I kinda lost interest. What’s next, wait another two weeks for a gas tank reveal?

While they haven't officially lowered MSRP, they have had a standing $1k manufacturer rebate on new RMZs for 5+ years (and have also not raised MSRP in half a decade in face of pretty large global inflation).So that is effectively a lowered MSRP, even if not reflected on the sticker.

Just like the leaves growing on the trees and the weather turning warmer, the annual “New RMZ450” discussion pops it timid head out of its nest. If the New RMZ discussion sees it’s shadow, it’ll be 8 years before a new bike shows up, if it doesn’t see it’s shadow it’ll be more like 10 years..

This will go on Bring a Trailer in a few weeks. But, if someone on Vital is interested I'll give you first shot. 1979 RM125N. Very, very close to perfect. I touched every single part during the restoration. It is remarkably original. It was on the original piston when I got it, and has the original chain guide and tensioner (try finding these!), seat is all original down to the staples, airbox and boots, throttle housing and tube (yes the short one that we all hated), tank and front number plate on the bike (have all original plastics, were rattle...

Took me a long time but it’s done. This thing was junk and blown up. All vapor blasting, cerakote, powder coat was done in house as my first ever full 4 stroke build. full OEM engine build except cylinder. It was good so I kept it. All new bearings, new brakes, seals, rebuilt 100% of the suspension, new tires and rims with new spokes and used the hubs. ARC controls, all new hoses and cables, guts seat. She runs good. Just wanted to share. I’ll post a pic of the day I started on it as well. It was trashed.

I've had most of this bike "finished" for quite a while now, it's just been in pieces and some critical things have been missing top put assemblies together. But most everything is here now and I'm making good progress. Next up is the front end: I had the fork tubes Kyokote coated in black, similar to the shock pieces from a couple posts ago. Here's the rear shock fully assembled, just waiting on a spring now. We were offering coating services a while back and I did the various coatings on this shock - DLC shaft, Kyokote shock body and reservoir, and various blue and black anodized parts. We no longer offer coating services as I wanted to focus more on hard parts, but Brian at N2D suspension offers them now if anyone is interested. Do me a favour and buy it. I'm in the UK, but even with international postage this would be a super deal! There's a Pastrana rep RM250 for sale here in the UK which is built to a way lesser spec than this up for £12,500, which is around $15,500!
