Long time West Texas mx’er. Midland has a great track with good folks. Public practice every Saturday or join the club. Andrews (about 40 miles north) another great track open to the public ever Sunday. Other than the series you posted the only other track that actually races is one right outside of Lubbock that races Saturday nights thru the Summer. MX has been on life support in this part of the state for quite awhile now. However, offroading is great but all private clubs.

There’s also the Outback Track near Stanton about 25mns East of Midland off I-20. It’s a large riding area usually open each day of the week. https://www.outbackadventuretrack.com

Hey fellas, I have a great career opportunity that could possibly take me and my family to West Texas in the Midland area. Does anyone know the dirt bike scene? What can I expect?

MC was far better than his competition at the time. They all had access to the same stuff he did, yet his technique was so flawless that he could uncork a 4-8 second lead in the first 3 laps. He did what no rider today can do, which is leave the others in dust because they aren’t that much better...

I just want to hop in on this thread. I got my son the 60 last fall for his first bike. I was curious to see if he even enjoyed dirt biking. Well from my perspective, this little bike has to be one of the best values in motocross. We got it brand new for like 1k, only had one...
Well first ride was today. He was pretty hesitant for the first hour but then he was just sending it After he got used to the power. He loves it. Seems to be running a little rich and is having a hard time starting though. First session and the bike already has 3 hours on it. Time will tell about...

I have 4 sons and they all started racing at 4. We didn't have the e-bike choice back then. The first two started on PW 50's and moved to KTM Jr's as they progressed. The oldest stayed KTM but his younger brother wanted a Cobra and I got a deal at Loretta Lynn's so we gave it a shot. Younger brother was all over big brother on the KTM within a couple weeks and the next year qualified for LL's. The next two were all Cobra. I would talk to your son and see what he say's, he's the one...

He rode a FWE. The power was the biggest difference. He is 80 pounds in shorts, close to 100 fully geared so this year on 50's they just didn't have the power to pull him out of the corners like they used to atleast on the KTM. I don't believe he got any holeshots this year prior to riding the FWE, but the day on FWE he got every holeshot. Almost wish we had more time on it, but he is ripping on the 65 now so we are moved on past 50's

My 3 sons had a KX65, KLX110, and a PW50 all available to them…….and a cheap ass Razor electric. They wore that Razor out. It was so easy and convenient. Went through several battery packs, chains, and rear tires. The range was limited, but they never complained about it. Their friends in the neighborhood wanted nothing to do with the gas bikes, but would jump on the electric without hesitation. We never considered the Razor on race days, but the current electrics are obviously more viable.

RC and Stew were fun to watch because they pushed and pushed. You could tell they rode on the edge when they beat the field by more than 90 seconds. It was exciting to watch. Jett’s domination is a snore fest. Hopefully someone can at least push him so it’s somewhat entertaining. I don’t think most care that he wins...

My son has had a great time getting into riding. We got him a GPX FSE60 last year to see if he would like it and he's absolutely hooked. He rode for almost 4 hours straight on the track last Saturday. The GPX has been a great bike, but now that he's getting taller and getting into racing, we are...
