Dungey T-Bones his career. Can you ask how Dungey feels about it? Will he do same to Roczen this year?

6) there still seems to be some debate on air or spring forks, how close are they to being equal or superior?

7) what is the biggest improvement in equipment this year, bike or gear?

So you think that one incident "killed" James career? Really? Do you even follow the sport?

I follow the sport closely, and although whether James' career has been "killed" at this point or not has yet to be seen, the loss of control by Dungey that caused him to t-bone James at A1 last year & James' concussion that resulted from him falling and slapping his helmeted head against a hard berm could surely have been a major cause of James' issues last year.

I'm not saying RD maliciously rammed James, or that James cut down to sharply from the apex of the corner into
Dungey's line or what...but James was riding pretty great before the incident...pretty not-great afterwards.

You tell me.

The Dungey "mistake" may have been the final nail. James did look pretty good at that moment but he never showed us anything again all year. For him to show up this under the radar and be able to hang at the front of the pack would be one of if not the biggest story we have ever seen in MX/SX.

So you think James' career could be summarized as "killed" or "dead"? Strange way to describe the career of the 2nd winningest SX rider ever.

One thing is aggressive, another is using James for brakes and TBoning him in the worst possible way. I am a fan of Dungey but not as much as JS. If it were Barcia or Friese that did that, would there be any argument?

Yeah, give RD a pass on that one, but make no mistake, JS was doing well and the concussion was the major factor that led to his demise. Take out the concussion at A1, and its very likely none of the other later incidents happen, but this is not a RD vs JS thread.
Back on topic...

Eli, do you have something for KRoc this season?

What else is there to say? This isn't very complicated. Do you think that singular moment (the RD incident) "killed" James career? Nothing that led up to that moment had any bearing on it? Even in your response you never mention:

The time off during the WADA suspension.
Obviously coming out-of-shape (after the suspension).
The multitude of concussions and injuries he's had leading up to that point.

He had plenty of time to regroup for the nationals, what happened there? Seems like Dungey (for you guys) is the poster boy for why James isn't racing today. Was the Dungey incident the culmination of all of this? A small piece in a huge jigsaw puzzle? Perhaps. To say that it IS the reason is like saying the last cigarette a lung cancer victim smoked is the one that killed him.

How do you feel about the health of the sport? This year there are a significant number of talented riders who weren't able to be signed to teams to go racing. What could the sport do to grow? Do you worry about the future of the sport?
