Malcolm has always had a ton of admiration for James, rightfully so. If Malcolm is being brought down by James, it is his own choice. You make it sound like James is forcing Malcolm to do something when none of us have a damn clue what they are even up to. Such a dumb thing to say.
I'd always seen most post of the opinion that James was supportive, but didn't try to overstep the way Tony Alessi had in the past. I hadn't heard about James trying to interfere with team managers, sending out works parts for disassembly, etc.
Just curious what it is that you believe would be causing Big James to truly be a negative to signing Malcolm.

IMO; This sport has never let race be an issue. It is always about results and marketability.
To win a title and then take the summer off when the rider market is flooded with talent but a drought in terms of money, you have only yourself to blame if you are not getting what you want.
Guys gotta keep themselves relevant all the time.
Just sayin....
P.S. I am not a fan of the new found "I am a victim" mentality.
My first thought was that its about that he only wants to ride dirtbikes, but at this level its about so much more. Its a business, money and getting all the sponsors together and trying to figure out a way to ride for a good team.
Oh my god guys another instagram post. What does the flame mean? Orange...ktm??
Lol but in all reality why is everyone over thinking stuff and jumping to conclusion? Patience. Oh wait...this is vital.
From where I'm sitting; my only guess is Malcolm wants so badly to have James at the races (actually racing) this year, and has probably just about exhausted all options trying to use his own success/leverage to bring James into the picture with whatever deals he's got on the table. Sounds like he's starting to except that this likely isn't happening...
Dude I just died.
I also see it as Malcolm's career is just starting up , where James is on the down side. And if he wants to try and leave a mark in this sport , he's going to have to do it solo. He's also going to have to want to do the nationals as well. Hopefully we see him at A1 , as I know I sure would like to see him out there. Let James deal with his own stuff , like he's always done in the past.
Pit Row
I know it's easy for me to say this but I think both Malcolm and James should put the money up for the bikes they need and go racing although I'm sure if they were interested in doing that the wheels would in motion on it by now and I don't blame Malcolm for wanting to be paid to race, he definitely deserves it.
The money he's asking for, quite possibly teams are tired of the family entourage, and not racing outdoors. He's not mc and chad reed who earned the right to do that. Yea, his reasoning was he's too big, but that geico bike is probably as fast as a stock 450 and I don't think you'd find anyone who thinks he's better outdoors than Webb and jmart anyways. Point being I don't think the team expected him to win.
It's all speculation of course but there's a valid reason in all this as to why he's not signed in November.
