Hardest Baller on Vital?

I'm very fortunate and blessed to have what I have along with a great job with a world class company. Like others said, great wife, awesome son, and a few cool toys to mess with.

Only debt I have is the home (less than 80% loan to value on a $500k+ house) and student loans.

You have a student loan?? Well done mate. If you have a student loan then I think you definitely earnt the stuff you own in the picture. I'm a first year student and I enjoy my degree, but can't wait to one day be in your position.

I'm a process operator, non union.

I got my house and 6 acres of my 30 acres on a 15 year mortgage, 12 years left, I owe less than half of the appraised value. The other 24 acres I own outright, but I took out a loan on the duramax and the toyhauler to buy them. So its not as bad of debt as it looks like. I own all my moto stuff and my tractor is paid for also.

Not too bad imo

Don't like the word 'baller' as it relates strictly to material value only and I am a true car nut to the core. I appreciate any form of good engineering, regardless of price. I have been fortunate in that I have been able to own or drive some pretty fun cars and decided to start documenting my experiences. Anyhow, you can keep up with my car journey here if you so desire.

A quick word on "baller living". In no way shape or form does having anything nice actually affect the true happiness of an individual.. I know people with everything that are unhappy, and I know people with nothing that are unhappy. It simply isn't part of the equation (when you're speaking big picture). For me, if I couldn't drive these vehicles, I'd buy a video game and like to think I'd still be just as happy admiring them from a distance. Health and relationships are the true measures of success and wealth in life, at least in my mind.

Alright... done being the sentimental douchey type!! haha

Cheers.

Yep... Sydney is fucked up.

And you're in a select group if you can leave the city and earn decent dollars where it's cheaper to live.

Not sure what they teach you in school down there but the whole point was all he actually "owns" is a truck and a dirt bike.

So he hasn't quite "earnt" everything in the picture yet. But I am very sure he is working hard to reach that goal and has obviously had the required fiscal responsibility to save up over 100k to put down on the house. Not many 20 somethings can do that. Most will get a dollar and spend two. Or three.

Because he was ambitious enough to bet on himself with a college education doesn't mean your owed anything though. That is a very bad mindset.

I say this so you can just keep that in mind in case god forbid you ever lose your job down the road and you miss a few payments on your future house. You will find out real quick what has been "earnt" and what hasn't.

It was upsetting to see my friends go down the way they did in the crash. But they are going right back down the same road again as far as I can tell.

Bottom line live conservatively.

I bet JS7 right now is thinking about how he has spent money over the years and wishing he has made some different choices.

On the flip side you only live once Smile

Considering that this is a fringe "discretionary income" sport, I don't think the cross section you see here is largely representative of society as a whole.

The majority of the people here are most likely "upper middle class." This provides some of the dollars that make the economy go.

The possessions of some here (again a small cross section of society) is hardly representative of the economy as a whole or the current tax situation in the country.
