I contemplated all last week about picking up one of the 16's yz250's off the dealer floor (comes with a few gytr goodies). And finally talked myself out if dropping the coin. "you don't need it" "the WR is ok for track days" ..then this thread appears. Angry Laughing

I'm not tall, 5'11", but my yz feels just how I remember my rm. I loved the feel of my rm, felt instantly at home on it and the same with my yz. I did not like the feel of my 2012 250sx

I'm 6'3"
But I seem to recall from another thread that you are taller than that Crush.
I love my YZ250, I re-sprung and re-valved for my weight, added pipe, silencer and vforce, put my bars on it and an oversized front rotor. Bought it new in 2008 and still enjoy riding it today. I can't believe I have had it for 8 years!

I have only had a 2011 RMZ450, never an RM... so I can't really compare.

I love this bike. It's a 2011 that I bought in the fall of 2013 with just 4 hours on it. So far I've done a FMF Factory Fatty pipe & Titanium 2 silencer, Vforce3 reeds, swapped the cyl head with the 06 bike, Noleen suspension, N-Style graphics and gripper seat, Tusk wheel set, Dunlop mx52's (203/204 combo going on soon) and various anodized blue parts. Love the power and handling of the YZ's. Next mod is to get a 270 front rotor set up. Great bikes!

Run FMF Q silencer/ spark arrestor + DB Snorkel + line Airbox with auto sound damper material. Sometimes wrap pipe (not all time). Silencer + snorkel do most majority lowering DB. Gives you a little grunt, less top end. Also run FMF Gnarly. When on bike, notice it a little quieter. However 100' away, very quiet. Some guys have posted on YouTube of DB snorkel. Unfortunately DB no longer exists (not enough sales).
Not pretty, but it works. Woohoo
