I made a build thread for it in the bike builds section.

The plan is to get it looking close to showroom as possible. Take eveything apart, clean eveything up, replace what needs to be replaced, blast and p.c. the frame, sprung for my weight, black rims, new plastics, etc.

Once I have it up to standard and riding it, then I’ll probably do the sss swap and some other cool stuff.

I’ll definitely watch that thread. My 98 is almost done now. It’s been a slow process to get it together, but I can’t wait to ride it

My last YZ250 Smoker, 2010. The next YZ for me will be an 89 or 90 125 & 250 that I would like to restore.

Yes, yes I know, the dreaded claw also draped my ride...

Not pretty, but paid for!

Horrid pic, but I'm Weigandt-level cheap and do not have an iPhone.

2016 YZ250

Here is my 14' converted to supermoto. Fun bike, but 10 mph slower than my 450 on the straights.

Nope she is gone, I actually had a guy and his son drive straight from Colorado to buy it. They did a it over a quick three day turnaround and seemed super pumped when they picked it up. I had sold it white with all of the blue plastics (YOT kit) and a ton of spare parts. Sad to see it go but the new owners loved it and I needed money for my business at the time. Around the same time I had a guy fly out from Arizona and drive back the Fun Mover that I sold, I definitely miss that bad boy.

Mattyhamz2 - I still have the Zuk but she has not been ridden in over a year and is sitting under covers.

I stared riding again (really just racing) the EVO bikes back in September but the last few months I have not ridden at all since work is kicking my butt with a security audit. I did however ride the 90 YZ250 that I bought on Sunday at my house for a bit to make sure that she was all in good working order as I plan on racing in a couple of weeks at the ARX event.

What a great thread. They kill it is hare scrambles down east, probably the most versatile, cost effective off-road bike made. Some beautiful work too people.

I bleed orange because I love a hydraulic clutch and a button (fat and old) but one of these is very tempting.

who makes the white tank and how did it fit? I'd love to make a 95 replica on my 06.

Clarke Racing made the tank and the fit was good. You just need to clean the tank when it comes as there were plastic shavings in it from the manufacturing.

The only downside was the gas cap as it did not use the OEM cap and the Clarke gas cap is slightly bigger. I actually just ordered another tank from them for a 90 YZ250 that I bought on Sunday. It should arrive tomorrow so I can let you know how it looks and fits.

Awesome. Thanks for the info!
Here is a link to the tanks, they also make multiple colors for them.

https://clarkemfg.com/tanks/catalog/yamaha/yz250yz125-2002-2016-stock-c…

They have a killer sale on the 93-95 stock capacity at $150.00 new but the new YZ is $240.00, you can also order directly from them or have your dealer order it.

Cheers

I actually have a Clarke white tank sitting on the shelf, still wrapped up in the box if you want a deal on one.

Bought it last year with the intent of going all white and getting retro red graphics. I no longer have the desire to do that. PM me if interested.

Was a YZ 250, but for a few years now has been a YZ Eddie Sanders Racing (ESR) 325, most fun (MX/Off-Road-With Recluse EXP Auto Clutch) bike in the world!
