I will give them props though. The A practices are true A riders. They make you show proof that you are one. I would know. I've ridden in the B practice too many times after forgetting my district card. That's sketchy enough for me. Couldn't imagine the C practice
The 125's on the other hand, to do Abby of the big jumps took skill. You had to know how to carry corner speed and get your shifts right. When you got that down you could go for the big jumps.
I know so many people now who just get straight on a 450 cos they are so easy to ride. Wanna hit that big jump, just line it up and twist the grip
Pit Row
I have seen a lot of stupidity, like drunk idiots at the track on practice days weaving all over. People parked on the downside of a tabletop talking, etc.
In most venues of modern life, if you are doing something stupid, somebody with authority will tell you to stop. A local mx track is a different thing entirely, and the collision of a motoross track and a stupid person is always painful to observe.
At one practice my little brothers bike broke so I let him spin some laps on mine. All of those guys came over to me fearing for my little brothers life as he was riding which was pretty comical
In reality the 500 is about the same speed as my hopped up 450 which my brother rides and races in front of the same guys with no problems. But the amount of respect they have for the big two stroke is incredible
You have obviously never seen me ride.
But it isn't just the 450. KTM has made an unbelievable 250 smoker and all of the 250f's are just amazing.
They inspire confidence, too much. Combine that with the extra weight, and speed.... you get the problems we're seeing.
