If I won a 100 million "mega million" jackpot I would build a 18 hole golf course with a motocross track throughout it . Golfing would not be allowed .

what about racing on a 1000 acre ski resort that happens to have a golf course next to it?

Play it first and then when I come in with a 80 score I dream about giving it new technical lines.

There is a Country Club across the road form my house and I cant tell you how many times me and my dad were very close to riding on it. And yes there are some golf courses in Southern Ohio that would be AMAZING to ride on.

Every time I drive by one, I imagine seat bouncing and doubling everything. So sick.

I don't see the fun in riding a golf course... Jumps would be pretty lame, and the grass would be slippery until you completely trashed it and then it would be like riding anywhere else.

There is a course about 3 miles from my house. I have to go by it everyday on the way to taking my son to school, and going to my office. We look and comment all of the time how we'd love to get out there and give it hell. My son wants to worse than me! I guess I've raised him right!

There was a golf course in Augusta Ga. (no not that one) that went out of business in 1981 and they ran races there for a year. It was a sandy area and was one of the most fun tracks I have ever rode.
You guys that have rode your bikes on courses just to do damage should have your bikes taken away for a year.

I work at my parents golf course and own a home on #11 fairway. I ride my mini to work almost daily but only down the cart paths. My 450f rarely even gets started at home. Compared to a moto-track, the golf course would be boring except for the thrill knowing that you aren't supposed to be out there.

Golf courses at night - putting greens - not for bikes though.

Oak Creek had someone do it near Beaumont. I am not sure when, but it was mentioned a week ago.

i have never understood the whole "ride on a golf course thing"???

maybe in other parts of the country the golf courses are better? but out here in CA they are all pretty flat except for the occasional slow hill or small hump. some of the sand traps could maybe be good jumps but even those look like they would get boring pretty quick.

like someone else said, maybe its the thrill of knowing you're not supposed to be there?

I did it! In Ossining New York, sometime starting around 1992 and ending in 1995 we had an awesome track at what was an old golf course. It still had all the paved cart paths, sand traps and ball washes. It was AWESOME! IBM purchased the place to build a corporate building on it, but they never followed through. I think houses went up on it finally. That place was awesome!

There was a golf course in my area that shut down many years ago. We rode it regularly, but would occasionally get run off by the police. It was great for the first couple of years, but then it got really overgrown. I have lots of good memories from riding there.

I work at a golf course as a mechanic, and have one of my bikes in my office off the side of the workshop. It's great, because I use the workshop to do bike maintenance, I have a wash bay with a pressure washer set up full time. I keep most of my parts there, including 15 sets of tires, It has waste oil facilities.
I also play golf, and have a lot of respect for the amount of money and effort it takes to maintain a course, so I would never ride on the course. But there is occasionally a course I play that has some nice rolling hills and mounds that I think about riding. Whistling

We had a failed development down here in Florida that was under construction with a fully shaped golf course (no grass). We rode it for years before the development ended up getting going again. Endless lines and ended up being some decent tracks after a while. Some of the best days of my moto life.

My parents live on one, however, they don’t play. Every time I visit them, I wonder what bike would I choose if I were granted one day to shred that place up.....
