Yes

TC3 and JS7 might be fighting for wins, but Dungey will be in it until the end for the championship.

Consider this though, TC3 will only have been back on the bike for 6 weeks at A1 in 2016.

No kidding. When is the last time he 'dominated'?
I'm excited to see him out there...but to think he's going to dominate is ridiculous.

James fans are truly a different breed.

Winning championship by 4pts is not completely dominating by any means ! No matter how big a fan you are of him the facts are he did not dominate 2009

He killed everyone after the opening race, where he had a DNF. From rounds 2 to 16 he won 11 races and just had to finish the race in Vegas for the title. I saw he dominated that series. Reed won three races that year, Bubba won twice that amount of races in a row...

Winning 11 of 16 isn't dominating? You guys seem to forget Reed took him out whine he was winning! Dude left A1 25 points down. I'm an RV fan but no reason to not give JS7 credit cause he kicked ass in 2009. Reed even tried to take him out again in Vegas. It's funny howies you guys keep saying with TC41 & RD5 out there. TC41 has missed more races than any one. Only person who was ever in his head was RC and RV. RD5?

James has been the youngest/fastest/fittest/craftiest/healthiest/most motivated/most seasoned racer at various times in his career. In January he may be 1 or 2 of those, but not more than 2 at time. And even that can change in one corner. He will gather headlines and attention. He will win a race or two. Domininate? No.

Well I don't really see anyone coming in and just dominating. What I hope happens is that we have multiple riders taking wins , everyone staying healthy as long as possible and we see a good 4 - 5 guys still in the hunt by around round 14 or so. I know that probably won't happen , but I'm crossing my fingers. With James , man I'm excited to him back out there! I'm also really pumped to see Tomac on his new steed , Barcia since he's found some new confidence , and a healthy Canard , Seely , Pieck , Roczen , RD , Musquin , ect , ect....out there too!

I just hope the off season is kind to these guys and come Jan 9th , I'm hoping for a great night of racing , on my freakin' birthday! Yeehhaawww!

So many riders out especially some big dogs like RV retiring it kind of leaves the door open for James to possibly run away with a few more championships. Of course he will need to answer to the likes of Dungey and Roczen but James has that talent that could really set him apart. I would love to see it personally.
Dungey and Roczen? 2016 supercross will be Reed and Stewart Cool
man I'd love that.

Will he dominate? Probably not. Would it be cool if he did? Hell yeah! I'm glad he's back.

That`s a pipe dream. Don`t get me wrong, I would love to see it, but history says it will be 1, max 2 guy`s at the end. Cream always rises to the top. I`m anxious to see where Stewart stands next year. I have no idea how he`ll do.

Yeah I know man , but crossing my fingers that most of them make it to the series and out of it in relatively one piece. Seems every year we have this " perfect storm " set up coming in and then these guys get taken out right and left , one right after another.

If he rides like he did in 2014 there is no reason why he shouldnt win the Supercross championship. He had 5 wins to Dungeys 1? Or something. Dominate no, lots of wins, yes.

Here is something to think about. James Stewart will be 30 years old when the gate drops at A1 in 2016 (I had to look it up, and I am surprised too). Lord knows that he has taken more than his fair share of dirt samples too.

Except for the fact Dungey still beat him on points in 2014 , what you are saying makes perfect sense.

SX wins in the big bike class:

MC = 72
RV = 40

It's funny seeing Justin Barcias name thrown into the mix with people who Stew will have to battle. The same people were saying 10 rounds ago that he wouldn't podium and Peick would have more moto wins than him.

I actually looked at some numbers comparing number of wins vs. age, and when you take a look at the number of supercross wins MC had around the same age RV retired, the numbers are a lot closer than one might expect.

By the way, in now way am I arguing who's better, yada yada yada. Just thought it was interesting.

I think you guys in this thread better put down that pipe. Do you really think Tc41 dung5 and KR94 are now faster than JS7? Did you not see him and RV kick all these guys ass in 2014? im 100% sure it will be ET3 & JS7 fighting for wins.
Did you watch sx this year?? You think an under prepared tomac is going to be faster than dunge? He wasn't this year. You should seriously re watch the races if you think he was.

This isn't 2014. James is 30 years old. He'll win a few and crash a few, and dunge will end up with the most wins again.

A lot of you guys are talking like Eli has proven that he can keep it on two wheels. How many times was he on the ground this past SX season? Not to mention his starts are historically not that good. James will be the fastest guy but Dungey will be tough to beat over a full season.

For obvious reasons speculating on Motocross and Supercross is a grand waist of time.
