Yeah, it will be hard to say. I mean I started the topic being a little dramatic and trying to stir up some conversation obviously but I hope he will come out and take it a little easy then get it going. James is so awesome to watch but it won't be easy with Tomac, Dungey and Roczen but as long as he doesn't get hurt or DNF I think it's very likely he could take a championship. That goes for 4 or 5 other guys also.

Everything depends on how much work James is putting in right now. If he is doing more work than say Dungey, Martin, Musquin, etc then he has a chance to dominate next year. If not he won't stay on top during the SX season more less the MX season. The guy is not 22yrs old anymore. He has his work cut out for him next year. Hope I am wrong but I think he is going to milk all the money he can from the sport before he moves on to a amateur golf career.

As for speed? He has them covered. But I will be thrilled if he's still able to walk after round 4. Just can't seem to stay on the bike. And I'm a fan. Just finally faced reality. I would love to see him run the table for the next two seasons but it just ain't gonna happen.

Never underestimate a man with something to prove. I wager we will see a different JS7 next season. Focused like a lazer. I. Cant. Wait.
He'll be focused ,that much is a fact.

SX yes... MX no.

With RV gone in SX, there is no one to pressure Stew into riding over his head. 80% of the time Stew has the Dunge covered in SX. Watch his passes on RD in 2014. He catches RD...he passes him like RD is not even there. It is all mental. When RV was out front...you could literally see the urgency in Stews riding. We know what that often lead to.

With RV gone...when RD is out front...Stew will be thinking...no worries...I got a bad start...I will get what I can...because he knows 4 out of 5 times...he has RDs number. The result will be a lot more consistent Stew.

In MX...Stew does not have leading speed anymore. He can win a race here of there...but he will not dominate. SX...I could see him winning 8-10 races with RV gone.

I would argue that he never needed to get any faster. I would agree the odds are against it but a fresh JS7 might be dangerous.

I disagree, Tomac, Roczen, Canard and a new RD will all have him covered. He's best to stick with short sprints like Straight Rhythm.

JS7 is definitely the most talented, but Eli looked damn good this year.

If James can stay motivated i think Eli (at his best) is the only one that can match his pure speed.

Only one way to find out though...

Things change quickly. Its not 2014. Also guys like Seely, MM, even Pourcel will be throwing a wheel in there. Stop living in the past. Even with 5 wins slow assed Dungey still beat him on points. You cant dominate if you dont take the title.

As James has demonstrated being the fastest doesn't always win championships. Tomac will have to stop beating himself if he is to get a 450 SX or MX title.

Regarding the thread title my only hope is we've seen the last of the James will win all of the SX races threads that appeared annually.

I thinK he will win most of the races. When was the last time RD went on a heater with RV or JS7 out there? Not going to happen. ET3 will be fast as JS7, but he will yard sale trying to run his pace. Who else is going to beat stew? Bam bam? KR94? I just don't see any one but ET3 on Stews pace.

Who will be the first to 5 crashes in 2016? James or Eli?... That sure makes things easier for guys like Dungey...

Stew has had alot of injuries over the years and is what, 29 or 30 now? James is my all time fav rider but he just doesn't demonstrate the kind of consistency it takes to win championships these days. Not to mention he doesn't have the huge speed advantage that he had a few years back. I fear he's won his last title, though I sincerely hope I'm wrong.

James still has to get up to race pace. That's gonna take a few races, maybe a whole season.

i don't think anybody will dominate 2016 and i hope nobody will.. eli will need some time to get dialed in with his new bike and get his speed back up (seems like he won't be on a bike until mid november) and js7 hasn't raced in a long time and i don't see him come out swinging. he is obviously hungry but that could go eighter way. i just want to see some good racing.

I think he'll be lucky to even win a race. Dominate absolutely not. James has been a pro for over 10 yrs. RC the GOAT only had a 10 yr run then retired. MC did about 10 yrs and retired. Why did RCand MC retire, because they were old in the tooth had won championships and knew their best days were behind them and the new crop coming up. James prime was several years ago, he's been on a decline while RV, Dungey, Roczen Tomac were and are the new breed. Will be good to have James back but not expecting him to be that competitive with Dungey, Tomac, Roczen, Canard and Seely running up front.

Didn't you start a thread a few days ago asking if Canard was the "greatest rider of our time" and now you dont even mention him in this one. Do you drink heavily and do drugs ? I would think you do with the drivel you post. Blush
