It's difficult for them to plan for 2016 and sign riders until they know if RV is in or out. With the rumours Desalle and Tixier are gong to sign in 2016 now, it would seem to suggest they know RV is out.
As for 2015, Right now they have no riders in MXGP, basically their season has been a complete disaster and with Rattray only getting the ride because of RV, they put all their eggs in one basket and I'm sure they are pretty confused as to why Ryan isn't letting them know his plans for the rest of the season.

On the whole loyalty thing, not sure why anyone has that much invested in a relationship with a motorcycle racer they don't have a personal relationship with. Sure it's natural to want to know where things stand, if that can be known (sometimes it isn't at a particular point in time whether the masses like it or not), but he's free to do what he wants without obligation to anyone other than those with whom he has contracts.
And, honestly, it's not like fans are terribly loyal once a rider stops being a rider. Most guys are soon out of mind until the fifteen millionth "whatever happened too . . . " thread.
Pretty sure if RV cared enough about what people think of how he handles his business in shutting down his career to read objections on a web board, his middle finger would only get longer.
It's also been pretty clear at a practical level to anyone other than the YS coattails shedders like you who wanted to crow about him coming over that he was mentally over racing at the same level of commitment he had to shoulder in the US and, according to some reports, over racing entirely and trying to get out early to get on with his own life, which pretty much would be his alone for the first time.
Hey, if you want to earn your cub reporter merit badge and not just be the shill apprentice waiting for Geoff to retire, get the story why a guy who didn't want to race and has looked like he doesn't want to be there was coerced or enticed to do something he didn't really have his heart into (hard to imagine Kawasaki had any leverage).
