AC on his PC bike

Last week on the Fly Racing Moto 60 show Adam said that besides coming back from a serious injury another reason he could not keep up with Musquin´s pace while trainning down at the bakery is because of his equipment. Did he really mean the new KTM has an advantage over his PC bike or I got it wrong?

I heard that too and figured he just meant his practice bike. But maybe due to all the mechanical failures PC has had in recent times they had to tone down the motor a bit.

Sounded like setup issues to me, and the difference between intensity at the races and practicing...

Not an equipment problem, just setup.

I heard him say that when he came back they were chasing set-up due to his growth spurt. I think this was around Hangtown.

Yep 100%, while injured he a growth spurt meaning he had barely any time on the bike being at a new height and weight.

After he fell off the bike at Muddy Creek you could see his talent and style coming back.

He will be on Marvins and Martins pace by the end of the year.

His riding was pretty impressive at muddy crk, i think its only a matter of time before hes back up front at the finish line

I assumed he meant that he practices on a stock motor and Marvin practices on a race motor.

X2. Perhaps the doctor can give us a more in depth analysis of young Adam. LoL! Cmon, the kid has been groomed to be the next big thing since he was on 65's right? He delivered right from the get go indoors and seemed to be a lock for a regional title and instead has had to watch from the sidelines. Having to watch Webb and Martin from the couch must have been tough for him. It's understandable if he's pushing too hard trying to make up for lost time. I def see something special in him and dont think his talent will be denied, it's just a matter of time.

The 85/100 is really just a tweaked version of what Kawi introduced in the early 1990's. Seriously.
The RM85, YZ85 and now-defunct CR85 were all similar in that regard, so it's no surprise that Big K didn't invest huge R&D into their mini line.

Is that practical....? No.

This is where the factory teams have a big advantage. Their riders practice bikes are either identical or very, very close to the race bike.

Factory support teams are going to have really good practice bikes, but they aren't race bikes.

Privateers (those lucky enough to have 2 bikes) have it the worst. They are usually riding on a practice bike with some mild motor work and revalved suspension.
