TM in stock form looks like a factory race bike. All their bikes are badass stock.

I always loved the 1988, I know it wasn't as great as the 86-87 suspension wise but it was the first low boy pipe and for me the first Honda I truly fell in love with!!!!

Beat me to it. No one may have liked riding them much, but to me no other bike has been so radical a change as the 97/cr250 was . Every manufacturer except KTM has basically copied the aesthetics of the 97 cr. I bet they sold quite a few more 97 than 96.
I have a very good condition '97 in my garage sitting next to my '15 SX250.
And while I've only have it for 3 years, and really don't like riding it that much, I just can't bring myself to get rid of it.
There seems to be some weird mystique about it that makes me hold on to it....

If I could buy a bike just to have for a conversation piece, I'd so get a TM 250!. It would never see a spec a dirt.

I raced Suzukis in 1990's, but always liked the look of these Hondas too. The looks breathes quality.

Can't really say what's the best looking stock bike ever, but man I liked the looks of these RM's when I got one back then after a -92 model! Saddle was soft as hell if I remember correct, but after installling a tecnosel foam and cover it was better right away. But anyway I recall all early -90's suzukis having a sofa-seat stock.

Now we can end the thread:

Absolutely, 1981 Maico 490cc slaughtered the best Jap efforts, outsold Honda and still wins most twinshock events today.

I've owned several on this thread. Of course I agree with all of those. My vote though is for the 80 Husky. Tied or closely followed by the Model 68 Pursang.

I always loved the 78 yz 125, or 250. In a way, they were the first long travel suspension bikes most of us got to see.

You walked into the Yamaha showroom and suddenly seat heights got six inches taller than they were the year before. Your 1975 bike looked old and short, real fast.

We sold VORs, TMs, ATKs, Cannondales, and GasGas bikes over the years at our dealership but as a kid seeing these bikes I always thought they were badass. Stock black plastics with silver and red graphics, gold ohlins stock.. they were awesome.

Look guys, lets be real, I can appreciate a collectors item as well, but thats what they are. Those old bikes are fugly as horse shit, and I grew up racing in the 70's/80's. The bikes now look 10x better. I get the sentimental thing though. lol

Next time instead of saying best looking bike of all time, say coolest bike of all time, or favorite.

This is the best looking and best performing bike i have ever bought. This is followed closely by it's white twin with linkage suspension.
