I've gotta say the 1983 YZ 250 is the best looking bike of all time!
Pics aren't working for me right now but can someone please post up one.

Try to load Johnny O on the white Mugen. Some style there.

These both tie for me

Actually went to look at a 13 KX250f tonight. Its my buddies friends at my buddies house, he asked if i wanted to see it and I said yeah. turns out that buddy want tyo sell it for a 125 so I might try to work something out, my 03 KX125 is in better shape though. Plastics are beat to fuck, missing the front number plate, bar clamps are twisted, and it idles funny but still might try.

How do I know?
I bought two in a years time back when I was making peanuts. Smile

I had both the 80 and 81. I much preferred the looks of the 81. And as for performance, the 81 was a quantum leap!! I was out of riding for years, and when I came back I picked up a 2004 CR-250. I thought there was a bigger leap from 80 to 81, than there was in the next 20+ years. That 1981 RM-125 was truly amazing.

If a manufacturer made a bike that looked like 99% of these vintage bikes it seems almost everyone is posting nobody would go "Wow thats such a good looking bike" but rather would say "Wtf is this POS looking bike". IMO Every bike made past 2010 looks better than all vintage bikes lol....

I'd love to be able to ride one today! Probably realize things really have improved. But it was sure a great bike at the time!

I was on the floor at Cowboy Stadium the night they filmed that. That thing was a total hack job along with other bikes and gear. Never knew you could hide so many rattle can paint jobs and other crap as good as they did.

And trust me this isn't because I had one but I feel the 15 250SX is one bad ass looking bike.

TS nailed it in the first post. I raced one of those for a couple years only mine had a black tank. Yes, it was a 250 with a very smooooth power output. Not lightning fast but very torque.

Well if this were a bike you could buy off a floor somewhere then I guess it would be the cake-taker, wouldn't it?

(Minus the purple shock components, I mean.)

One thing this thread has illustrated is that everyone has a favorite. And not many agree.

I am with TS and Ing. The 80 Husky was completely sexy. It looked like a serious racing machine. A feeling one gets looking at a good race car up close. Unfortunately the thing is piece of junk. I owned a '78, same basic bike with different airbox/numberplates. A good friend also owned a '78. Both of us would love to have that bike as a coffee table in the living room. Neither of us would want to race one again.
