My opinion is that people were frustrated with RVs performance and didn't appreciate the fact Malin happened to be analysing it on air. At no point did he say anything disparaging about the guy, other than to simply point out the obvious, that he wasn't doing as well as most people had expected. Is he supposed to pretend that it wasn't happening?

I don't think hes biased. I think hes just trying to explain the GP strategy of riders throughout the day. Although in the past I remember people saying the GP riders were great at sprinting in qualifying runs whenever a US rider would go over there. Now they have changed their strategy and "Pace" during qualifying. Oh well, to each their own.

He might be biased but I honestly thought he did a great job in Qatar. I only heard him saying good things about Ryan and he also mentioned Elis freak speed from Des Nations.

Paul is so much better than the cat before him; that guy was a homer travesty. You know who Paul sounds like? Emig and Ralph and Langston and Weege. The note just sounds different coming the other direction.

These guys are in place to promote their respective series. The notion of being unbiased is pretty unrealistic in any event.

Do people not remember listening to Kenny Kay try and sell his camper van live on air whilst missing a race winning pass by Everts on Tortelli. Or that time he invited Jamie Dobb in the booth and all he could think to do was letch over Dobby's wife with him sitting right next to him. That guy was Aspergers as fuck.

Conversely, made it a point to describe MXGP as a world championship multiple times with extra emphasis on their fly away races..... as if that means anything in the big picture.
I have been following GPs since 2006 and he has always been a little bias towards certain riders, nothing new. The fact you have a guy from US and so many new fans watching the series, makes things a little uncomfortable for a lot of people but I assure you, like any other commentator, he has his favorites! This is only going to make him feel like crap "IF" RV continues to win!

Honestly, I think Malin is pretty biased. I use to watch the GP's regularly and was a big Cairoli fan for a while when he was on the Yamaha. Malin just has a way of downplaying American racers / and series.

To even post what he did about Cairoli being on the ground and its only Saturday just shows his true colors. AC could have started out right with RV and RV still would have beat him by at least 10 seconds. That rhythm lane is playing to RV's advantage.
