Career ride for Weston and definitely on a new plateau.. His early laps looked incredible, passing the Dungenator was epic and he put 3-5 seconds on him, it looked like he was going to podium for sure.... Then around lap 6-7 to go it looked like he tightened up or lost control of his breathing possibly and #5 caught him in the tight 90s when he looked like he shorted a triple or two and as they say the rest is history... But HELL of a ride for Weston tonight !!!

Congrats on your ride tonight Weston from Big D on The #36 RMZ450 at Milestone!!!

Awesome ride by Weston! I went from laying back in my recliner, to sitting on the edge of the seat, to standing up, LOL!

Definitely a toss up between Peick and Plessinger for the 2015 'WowIdidnotseethatcoming' award at the moment.

Pretty cool story for the last 3-4 years (besides last year) Peick struggled to make SX main Events, now he runs third for almost a whole main event with a DEEP field.

Its a feel good story.

But I hope two years down the road after he secures another factory ride and is still a "Andrew Short" people dont bash on him and tell him to retire

He rode awesome! I hope he can keep it up. If he can keep getting decent starts and finishing in the top 5 he just might end up on the podium in the points. To me it looked like he either got tired or tightened up and thats when #5 got him but up to that point he looked better then RD.

Peick's handful of JGR front brake, standing it up on its nose to make the pass on Dungey stick was freakin awesome. I need to see pics of that.

pumped for Weston, that was an awesome ride, was really hoping he could top it off on the podium. I was like Team Green, had a bet Dungey would be on podium, but I too would have been fine with it going the other way.

Yup that nose wheelie into the corner was amazing.... nice to see the aggression like that... he really seemed to want it and to put up a fight for it. Fun guy to watch last night.

Anyone else from my era notice a bit of Ricky Johnson style hammering the turns. I can remember in '88 during SX, RJ would set up at the beginning of the turns and power all the way through. It had a very aggressive appearance, and Weston showed it last night.

And props to Plessinger. That kid is showing promise and maturity beyond his years.

It looks like riding with Barcia has helped.

Well that sucks. Hopefully he can ride through it with minimal trouble. Angry

I am really bummed I let that podium get away on lap 18, I rolled my ankle and broke a bone in my foot. I'll update y'all as soon as I can!

I do see Weston on the box very soon. He really impressed me last night with that ride. Not that I thought he couldn't pull it off, but fact he was taking back his spot on Dungey every single time he would try to make a pass.

no doubt.........I'm sure Dunge was like WTF!!!!!!!

I noticed at A1 how completely different he looks on the bike vs last year. He is super loose, flowing all over the place. He is scrubbing with a lot more lean and it shows in his ability to carry much more speed on the rythm sections. I can not recall a rider changing up his style so much in the short off season. He still is a bit off in the corners to the elite guys, but that may be a function of his size.

During the PHX main, I said to my buddy....he is riding like a larger version of Tomac, and that is bad ass....

I talked to Lou last night and he said that Westons foot was pretty dang sore. Slight set back......and I'm sure we are all going to see quite a few more great races out of him before the end of the season.

I'm amazed at how fast he was going last night. I don't ever doubt the guy......but last night? Sheeesh!!....On a friggin' mission!

A few years ago he was the LCQ king , and before that wasn't making all the mains. Now......he's beating guys on a regular basis that were considered title favorites or just extremely popular dudes. Guys who make a bunch of money.

The Weston that showed up last night.......I liked watching it!! He had me on the edge of my seat just as much as watching Tomac and Roczen going at it. Was awesome!!

Did you notice his boot drug the take-off, ala, Kevin Windham, 2012, Huston heat race?

That was a killer save!

Did he do any of the big amateur races when he was younger? Just wondering about his background. Was he just a local pro that decided to give it a go? Definitely most improved award goes to him.
