He is suspended because of his own mistake, it has nothing to do with Feld. The teams wanted the testing and they got it, I would much rather have the drug testing and fair competition.

Latest Official announcement from FELD:

We at FELD ENTERTAINMENT have decided to allow JAMES STEWART ride due to dirtdogs36 post on VITAL.
We don't want to lose that one spectator that might possibly attend a SX event.
That is funny! (no sarcasm)

I agree with a few points #1 the FIM is useless to the SX series.

#2 the offense was in April this is not acceptable to still be in limbo

I think the OP missed on a big point too, the tickets are way to high and the money isn't going to the riders.
OK so 500 guy says it a little better. I was drinking my coffee and reading RacerX this am (Racerhead) and thinking about all the fans, sponsors, Suzuki team and James himself sitting around in December not knowing if he can race... I think that is stupid

If they say no, then the answer is no. I think that is a dumb biz decision to keep ANY of your star players off the field

AND we have all complained about the purse money. I have no personal problem with the ticket prices but think it sucks that I pay that much and the guy the places 20th in the 450 main barley makes any money for putting on the show

PS: Not the biggest James fan. I think this would suck for any rider

Boycotting the SX because your riding may not be racing. Is this a joke?

I'd argue that Stewart is not the most popular rider, and the series will do just fine without him.
You would be wrong!Tongue

If you think that our little sport wont take a hit with js7 on the sideline, clearly your living under a rock!!! He is the most popular rider in our sports history.

For all the haters, get out of your little bubble and get mainstream! Js7 is mainstream as it gets for our sport and one of the main reasons why our sport is growing. Js7 changed the dynamics of sx/mx!

I will not be attending any round this year for the first time in over 15 years. Not due to JS7 issues, but rather to not have to endure Lurch screaming at the top of his lungs "ARE YOU READAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!" ever again....

The only thing I agree with in this post is the part about the purse being crap. Until the riders have the balls to stand up for themselves, and do something about the purse, I won't support a boycott. As soon as the riders get together and stand up, I will join them.

I think he should get 1-4 race ban. He broke the rules on purpose.

So since James is a "top star," he gets a free pass? Sounds like some great and uniform enforcement and application of the rules...

It's JS7...the rules shouldn't apply. Assumed business decisions should trump the rules all the time.

The rules apply to everyone. Or they apply to no one.

Stewart's people, and James himself are responsible to know what the rules are and how to satisfy their requirements. He's a professional athlete..that's his job.

As for WADA being used for the testing and rulings, that actually adds legitimacy to the process since WADA is a third party with no financial interest in the outcome of testing or disputes, unlike sanctioning bodies and promoters.

Could WADA be quicker with the testing and appeals process? Absolutely, but they're not. And let us remember, if Stewart had gotten the TUE filed when he should have, this would be non issue.

Feld - I am getting where I can't stand supercorss because the spectators are mostly posers but I applaud that you've implemented a system to catch cheaters and are sanding beside the world organization just like every other sport that has testing procedures and not letting a riders popularity influence you in catching cheaters.

If a professional of any sport cannot even file simple paperwork BEFORE he gets caught, maybe they are not professionals.

I just dont see why the FIM is envolved in the sx series at all. Thats the only thing i think is corny. Its a U.S series keep it a U.S. series!. Feld co. Our a bunch of idiots sx purses have always sucked the only people that can change that is the riders!. They all have to get togeather and refuse to race, but it will never happen cause all the top riders are bound to high$$$ contracts that will cost them big $$$ in penalties. So feld has them all by the balls. Not cool at all!

Racing is racing no matter who is on the line. If all we had were dudes racing 50s around I'd still watch it. James Stewart isn't the all high and mighty for the series. I don't see how it matters anyway he'll only race half of them at most before he grenades himself anyways. He's just getting them out of the way early.
Between the OP and this guy ^^^^ we definitely have both ends of the Stewart spectrum covered here.

Fair and should have been announced LONG ago

Don't think he broke the rules on purpose but did break the rules...

My issue is with how this is being handled

IMHO, if a TUE is available for Adderall, and would have been granted to him under normal circumstances, then why not grant him a TUE now for future events, but strip him of all results from the date of the violation test until the date of issue of the new TUE. I mean, that makes sense to me. If anyone in SX/MX has the Adderall TUE, then it is an allowable drug and it should most likely be granted to James (I'm no expert is the dosage effects, or how it is determined if/how a rider is granted the TUE), on the other hand, if no other rider in SX/MX competition has a TUE for Adderall, then don't allow it, erase his race results from the date of violation, ban him from using it, and get him back on the track if he want's to ride. Doesn't seem that difficult to me, but like I said, I'm not privy to the details of it's use.
Oh, well, there are plenty of other top notch riders that will be on the line this coming year, and I'm betting we are still going to see some damn good racing regardless.

Let's speak with candor, there are fans of Supercross who would buy merchandise and tickets if sanctioning body did nastier things to riders like weak purses, limited breaks, and dangerous tracks (keyword: LIKE). If there were to be change, one of the following would have to happen: (1) major boycott by fans; (2) boycott by riders; or (3) boycott by factory riders. If riders want changes in the sport, the factory riders have to strike. This will not end with James Stewart and its damm shame. Stewart should know his consequences - the delay affects James Stewart, his team, Suzuki and Feld..

If the rules are so clear cut and James is obviously in the wrong, why the delay?

Trey Canard and others said that the testers ask's them many times do they use some kind of medication, so theres no change that is accident. So James was lying to hide that. Give him short ban and let's move on, it's best for the sport that way.

I can get behind this post. I mean, James made his own bed, but I do agree it is rather silly to leave him hanging. Let them know. They have testing to do. I assume they are doing it, and spending money to do it. It could be costly if the answer is "No race for you!"

I'm an RV fan but I will have to admit, JS7 & CR lines are always the longest! So those who say different don't go to SX races! I think is BS what they are doing to JS7. Just make a fucking decision! My wife got me my A1 tickets last month for my birthday & im excited! I will admit I don't get a hard on as much as I do watching JS7 or RV1!

Yeah we got all in the first post you wrote!!!

Your reply makes no sense.

He has been suspended until further notice, he might hear when his suspension is up before the 2015 supercross season or he may not. Either way he is suspended, there is no limbo, WADA just hasn't said how long it will last for.

I personally don't think he will be back this year racing sx this year, but I could be wrong. Will he be missed, YES he will be missed. Is it Felds fault, No and can Feld do anything about it, No.
