I understand the frustration with not covering any SX or Monster sponsored riders- particularly RV given his achievements.

The coolest thing was, that I was the only person in the whole theater at that particular 12-noon showing! I had the whole place to myself. Not a whole lot of moto fans in Springfield, MO apparently.
The "Why we ride" movie a while back was much better imo
I am old enough to remember seeing OAS1 and it had a tremendous impact on me as a young boy. Somehow I went to this film sort of expecting that same feeling inside and that didn't happen. There were segments that were really awesome and there is no question that it is well done. Unfortunately in this day and age... sponsorship arrangements, promoters, agents and other forces cause compromises to be made. A truly unbiased, all encompassing film is just not a realistic possibility.
TP and Henry segment is a highlight. Footage from dirt track is awesome. The interviews from dirt track were completely lacking........no interview with Mees or Smith ??? HUH ? Scotty Parker, Springer ?? Maybe I am partial, but there is some historic perspective there.
For anyone who has even a passing interest in the motorcycle world it is very worthwhile.....we can continue to speculate how it could be better.
Maddo off the ski jump was REDICULOUS!!!!
With all the high quality video out there now this didn't have the wow factor of the original. but still enjoyable.
Microwave Generation.

I will never watch this movie again. I actually buy Red Bull....before the movie.
He commented that it seemed to spend too much time on the girls, given how few there are actually competing in races. I did notice a whole "PC" type feel to the movie, but I might be reading into it too much. Ultimately I wanted to support our sport, so going to the movies (something I rarely do) seemed logical to do.
I found myself wanting to pause the movie several times and rewind it to look at specific bikes, or re-watch certain scenes. I'll definitely purchase it when it comes out on DVD.
As for the film, I have mixed feelings. I appreciate the content and story. Starting with the flat track stuff was appropriate and awesome. But there were a couple of segments that were rather long that I just didn't follow. Dana Brown clearly wanted to focus on the motorcycle and all of it's uses, albeit practical, recreational and professional. Omitting legends like Malcolm Smith and Ryan Villopoto yet spending a full 10 minutes on a doctor in Africa who delivered meds via an hold Honda XR was off the mark to me. The doctor in Africa part was so long, I honestly saw people shifting around in their seats becoming restless, it 100% felt like a paid commercial for the organization that funded the doctors work (I don't recall the name).
The film also chronicled the MotoGP season, bouncing back to the timeline of events throughout the movie. This was cool and exciting but the rest of the film covered a topic, then moved on to another. The bouncing back and forth with the MotoGP segments felt out of flow...
I would have enjoyed more coverage on families that load up the truck, toy hauler or motohome and go camp/ride in the desert or local track. Lorreta Lynns, Supercross, Europe GPs, etc. because when you think "On Any Sunday", i'm pretty sure most related to getting some dirt in your teeth...just my $0.02
We all agreed, the original On Any Sunday was substantially better. I also preferred the Art of Motocross over this film.
Having said all that, I still recommend it and will buy it on DVD to add to the moto collection.
