eazrider Added a reply to Eric Gorr Terrible Customer Service

6/20/2017 1:02pm
I was extremely happy with the work Eric did a couple years back on my YZ295. Word to the wise: If you want to contact him, do NOT try email...However, I found before 9AM (CST) he will answer the phone almost every time personally..
I'm gonna keep a couple of my kickstart bikes...I know they are going to have a special race at Glen Helen called the "Kick Start Nationals", much like the "Four Stroke Nationals", and later "The Two Stroke nationals"...I'll be ready..! Smile
I'm not so sure the attitude is "cavalier" so much as it is "practical"... E starting is a wonderful thing, I tend to focus on keeping things simple, as I hate walking in my Alpine Stars. If I have an electric start on my KTM, (some of the new ones aren't provisioned with kick starters) and one of these wonderful...
I'll be 65 next month, no problems starting my 750 Shell kitted XS 650, YZ 360 Vintage scoot, or my '06 YZ 450. I would like to think a fellow that is 34 years old would be able to kick start his dirt bike. When I start feeling ;like whining, I usually just pull over and change my diaper... Smile

Has anyone on the forum had a total knee replacement, and if so, how did it impact your motorcycling, or active lifestyle in general.. Thanks.....

Been in that canyon with Sluggo and the boys many times. He rides that thing around like he has a blade on the front. He'll go through a 2 ft wide corner and I swear it is 4 foot wide and bushes are hanging all over that KX when he comes out the other side.Looking to retire/part time in November...
Ha..last wife(the 2nd) lasted 23 years before she decided I was never going to grow up. Current wife knew what she was getting in to when I took her to the AZOT races and all Dave Brosius would talk about while calling the race was this 50 year old guy on a 74 YZ 360 YZ kicking half of the...
Dang... First time I met Destry was at a race in San Manuel AZ in 1992...we were pitted right next to him and his dad ...Destry was running Expert, I was running senior Expert (40+).....I'm guessing he was about 15-16 years old. We ran at different times and I had just finished my last loops...I was cleaning up, not paying...

Great racing, but to truly enjoy the skill of these guys spectators need more access to the track. I went to Del Mar a couple times and to view the racing from the middle of turn 1, or turn 3 is beyond description when they throw the bikes sideways at 135+...Can't see that from the stands..Good racing, but I was...
Got my first bike in 1968...a blue Yamaha YM-1 305.....Haven't been without a ride of some sort in over 48 years, but a few of those bikes had a bit of dust collecting for a while. Bikes in the following order: '68 Yam YM-1 (purchased new) '68 Kawi C2 TR (purchased new) '69 Yam Ct-1 (purchased new) '69 Kawi A7...

I agree with Kenny T 100% ...I could never get enough of the original On Any Sunday, thoroughly enjoyed "The John Penton Story" and, will probably never watch the latest "On Any Sunday" again...What a shame, it had sooo much potential..what were they thinking..?

eazrider Added a reply to On Any Sunday - The Next Chapter

I attended the movie in Tucson AZ, Saturday evening, about 7:30, roughly 25 folks in the theater...Personally, it was a motorcycle flick, so, that was good, but it captured none of ther feelings I had after watching the original in 1971. The premise of "On Any Sunday" (the original) was a peek at what we as motorcyclists do every weekend...

I sold my 2010 YZ 450 to my son, not because of maintenance issues, but because the 4 strokes are porkers. Picked up a 2005 YZ 250 smoker for 2300$, a set of 2006 YZ250F forks, revalve, add an Eric gore big bore kit, and I can run with any of the 4 strokes in acceleration,, pick any line I...
I hate to bag on the Works guys in Cali (Irvine??), but I had to send my rear shock and forks back twice. Maybe it was partly my fault, as I'm an older guy and ride a bit harder than most senior citizens. Finally, the fellow at WC stated that I was just too picky with my suspension. My response...
