For me - a 1987 Cagiva WMX125. A friend was just about to sell his back in 89 or 90 and I got to take it for a short spin. Had a great motor from what I remember.
The Shop
Luxon 4-Post Bar Mounts
$189.95 - $239.95
left sided kick....if people thought early 250fs were hard to start when hot they never rode one of these..
had some supertrick parts on it though...handled pretty strange..allot of weight on the front end..i was only 15 at the time.. for some reason my dad always bought me something way bigger than what I needed...before that he bought me an 86 cr 500 that was in pieces..luckily we never finished rebuilding it and he ended up getting me the 'berg instead
I painted the Rickman back in '93. Early 70's Rickman Montesa
Pic off the net , 70 BSA B50 MX
These shifted normal....still weird.
Puch 125 MX. net pic
Cooper 250 I painted back in 96. There was a reason these leftovers were selling for 300 bucks.
Ossa Stiletto net pic.
Italjet PW50, got it in almost this condition, barely used in 2000, frightening to ride, cant imagine how quick is was with a kid on it in its day
Pit Row
This was a great bike at the time , the only thing that sucked about it was the kick starter was on the wrong side , so I would have to hope off it to start it if I stalled it in a Conner
The thing I remember the most? Worlds hardest seat. Cinder blocks are softer.
Cool motor though.
The 250s were supe fast but a straightrate rear suspension left me snapping swingarms like toothpicks.
They gave me a 87 125 to race in 88 because the 500 class was combined and killed so instead of racing 250 and 500 you had torace 125 and 250 at even the local AMA tracks. It sucked.
The 125 was ohlins front and back, the 250 was whitepower front and back.
