Lifetime Motorcycle enthusiast......Raced in the California desert in 60s Discovered Motocross in 1968....Competed until 1973.... Promoted my 1st race at Sand Hill Ranch on July 10th,1973 under the name Boss Motocross, CMC. Conducted some 300+ races throughout Norcal and Nevada.... The best years of my life. Still Kicken at 72,. CHEERS. Recently moved my old ass to Granada, Nicaragua..No MX down here but I keep up to date on VITAL..

Typical weekend at Helvetia Saturday: Motorhomes..Riders ,families & friends coming in around 2:00...setting up camp, pitching tents..Kids head for the pool, tuning bikes, grilling burgers, benchracing,,kicken back...lotsa people having fun . Bobby.......You definately got that right about Darrell's grit' I heard his knee pop out at Plymouth one time...Sounded like a firecracker. He stopped and shook it out, then finished the race. You could see he was in a lot of pain. And besides that, he was, and is, a very nice guy.

Your observation re: the fact that Endurocross is safer because of the difficult obstacles is a valid point. They crash a lot but don't get hurt because of the slower speeds.
