Anything that should be swapped or changed, it's a 2013 Kawi 450.I'm coming off an 08 rmz450, can't wait to hit Mt View this Sunday

Nice! Change to a TM designworks chain guide, slider and rollers, good quality chain, set your sag and tell us howawesome it is on monday!

Oh and keep an eye out for loose spokes.

There are some people that will say you should swap the motor for a CR 500, but I think what you have is just fine... Wink

Friend of mine has a '13 Kawi. He switched the triple clamp to one with a few mm less offset and installed a Rekluse clutch. On the track it's a bit better with the reduced feel of engine braking and the subtle change of the triple clamp helps it corner.

He has an a-kit fork/shock on it now, but I rode it with the stock air-fork and it's pretty decent for stock stuff.

go on crf stuff.com and buy the spinelli that ties the two fork cap air adjusters together, it makes it easy to check your fork pressure and u dont have to take the bars off to do it

Since it's a new bike I wouldn't recommend anything has to be changed. When it comes time do the TM designworks kit, new clutch plates and get a backfire screen delete kit. Thats just the basic small stuff that will improve the bike and last longer. As for the two into one air adjusters, it's great idea but the problem is if you have a leak in one fork you have a leak in both. I would recommend the new adjuster from works connection that turns to where you can work on it. Also if you don't care about looks a set of Neoprene fork covers to protect the seals because they will leak.

And the usual, check all the bolts, just because it's a new bike doesn't mean everything's tight.

congrats. I just rode a 13kxf450 last friday, bike fuggin rips. motor is solid, handles well though it is a little lazy in the corners. I coild see myself on one. id say one size down on clamps as mentioned, and throw an m12 on the front and a mh3 on the back. the stock suspension is better than the fc binders on my 07. wish I wasn't furloughed or I might consider one

It came with a free air pump for the forks, thanks for the all the info guys,any ideas on custom graphics, i wanna memorial to my son Jacob, like a cross with his name on the shrouds

www.180decals.com costs less than decal works cookie cutter looking stuff, holds up really well, and is owned by a privateer that races the outdoor series.

Switch the rear axle nut out for one of the locking nuts off a Honda so you don't have to deal with that damn cotter pin crap.

Honestly those TM chain guides suck! And they say lifetime warranty but they don't warranty the parts that actually wear out. I've had good luck with Moose chain guides.

I just picked one up last month also. First thing I'd suggest is greasing the linkage and head tube bearings. I've got 7 hours on mine and it appears to need a new chain already which is no surprise. Other than that I just set the sag and have been running it bone stock. No complaints so far other than my front brake was dragging which I discovered by almost going over the bars a few times when I got a little crossed up off jumps.

I haven't seen any two stroke love in this thread yet. If Kawi or Suzuki made a 250T, I would have "spoke with my wallet" as they say, and returned moto to it's glory.

Congrats on the purchase! I just sold my '13 KX450F for a '14 SXF450. Like mentioned above, TM chain slider, rollers, and grab the chain guide insert, not the whole assembly.

Well, there's no doubt that Its a sweet bike. It seems a little big and heavy, but I have no problem with it.

Jason! Congrats man! I'm glad you got onto a new bike. Was hoping you would show back up here one day. I'm hopefully picking up a new bike myself within the next couple weeks. I have a guy wanting to buy my 08 CRF450 and then I'll be picking up a new 2013 KXF250. I'm stepping off them 450's ( at least for a while anyways ).
