I have never been a particularly big fan of any of them in the past but they have my respect for stepping up to do this race. Thanks guys. It would have been embarrassing if we didn't race.

Just as much chance as any team  other than the home team France that are the favourites.

Awesome, if only one rider was representing the USA it should be AP.

I really hope Christian is able to avoid wadding in this race and jacking up his 24 season. He’s said his arm is still weak and having trouble holding on…after 2 bad surgeries before finally a good result on the 3rd try.

Props to him for stepping up.

There is some positives for coming in as the underdogs. Really happy these three stepped up, nothing but respect for them.

If all these dudes can keep it upright and ride to their abilities, with a bit of luck I could see them landing on the podium. Gonna be a tough weekend, no doubt about that, but if we keep expectations realistic, it will be a fun and memorable weekend for all regardless of the finishing position! Most importantly, I’m glad all three of these dudes want to go and give us a team to cheer on vs. not sending a team at all because the go to riders logistically can’t or don’t want to.

Not a single one of these guys are going to short us effort, that’s for damn sure.

We are the 23 time champion of the event since it's inception. We have to go no matter what.

For the guys that “don’t get it” in regards to CC… We have three guys that want to go. All three are the best we have that want to go and are willing to go. I’m behind them just as much as I would be if it were Tomac, Deegan and Sexton. I’m both happy and proud we have a team going.

Right.  And if Craig gets enough laps and has his normal speed and his health is decent, I'd like to see who thinks there is a better choice "available" and who that would be...

Props to Craig he has more of an excuse to turn it down than anyone.

All the guys praising Craig for going probably the same guys that were always hating on the guy for some reason.

That’s not the point, Craig just came off some serious injuries and is just barely back on the bike..yeah great he wants to go and I am a fan of CC…but Is it even save for him to try racing already?!

Barcia has surgery scheduled right after SMX.

Masterpool has appendicitis and is loaded on antibiotics for SMX.

Marchbanks would be an option, but no finance for him to go and I said if CC is at speed and healthy, if so he beats Marchbanks.

Nicoletti?  Great dude, but nowhere near Craig's speed.

Couldn’t answer your last question, but he’s been riding and seems to be in California testing at GH.  If it wasn’t for Craig we may not be sending a team at all. We now have three guys that will give everything they have each moto. That may result in podiums or barely cracking the top ten. Either way, all three will leave everything on the track and that’s all we can ask for.

I don't get the lack of enthusiasm.  Each one of our riders are fully capable of winning and know it.

Aaron, RJ, and Christian: Don't listen to anyone except me Smile .  Think "Relaxed Intensity!".  Just go out and do what you do to the very maximum.  If you leave nothing on the table, I believe you'll bring home the Gold!

Whatever the result, you have my and others' full support.

Right? We dont have a team and it…
“if we don’t send a team that’s pathetic”

So we get a team together and now it’s

“We couldn’t do better than Craig?”

100% agree.

Team US is to the MXoN as Ferrari is to Formula 1.

You gotta remember, there are more than 10 people commenting on this from start to finish. There could be a large chunk, scratch that, there IS a large chunk of people that follow this sport that aren't psychos like us that keep up to date with every single rumor and post made on the internet. There could be people that see the team announcement and have no idea the inner workings or what lead to it and the initial response (understandably) is "How is that the team for USA?"

Even people that post on this message board will post a new thread that's identical to a thread a only few posts down with multiple pages of replies. I'm sure if you connect the dots, the people hoping to just send a team aren't the same people shocked at the team that was announced.

Team USA for the win!  I’m predicting a massive Cinderella story…three talented dudes, coming in with no pressure and no expectations…if they ride clean races (good starts no crashes or mechanicals), and with a little bad luck from a couple of favorites…and America could win this thing…I’m kind of over this event, honestly, and wouldn’t normally care much about it…but I like an underdog story…and this makes me more excited for the race.

You’re 100% right and I overlooked that side of things. I’ve been in too deep in the other thread the last few days.

I agree, but these 3 will be putting plenty of pressure on themselves.  They'll fight!  I'm expecting great things from this team!
