Sounds like butt hurt internet sleuths found people they believed were involved the account and reached out in some less than cool ways.

People who do this kind of thing need the shit beat out of them. Nothing they can't recover from, but they deserve some pain in their life. 

If they were threatening his friends could they take legal action against whomever was making thise threats? They should have screen shots if they were DM'ed
