There may have been some "what if-ing" during the year, but overall, he had a great season in the states. And with a year under his belt, he'll be even better next year.
I'm glad this post got so many likes, anyone complaining and the person that started the thread needs to pull their heads out of their ass.
Dean did exactly as expected, and delivered a 10th that we needed.
I can only assume it was a privateer style effort, no entourage?
Well done Dean.

Was hard to find details but I believe he took suspension and maybe an engine with him?
On an unrelated note, and a minor issue really, but it didn't look great with the Aussies on the podium with totally different colour scheme gear.
Said to my brother Dean was east to find, fucked if I could see Jett or Hunter easily. Green and gold Alpinestars!
What's embarrassing about my statements? That they deserve respect for showing up and stepping up to the plate? That they finished 5-18, 16-20, and 16-10? That Dean Ferris beat AP and Craig?
Hampshire admitted that they got their "asses kicked". Craig admitted that his results were poor. I do not agree with Lewis's softball lobs in his interviews that things did not go their way as opposed to them not riding well. Craig affirmed that he didn't ride well. They got embarrassed. When the Denver Broncos lost 70-20, they got embarrassed. That doesn't mean that the athletes themselves aren't talented, didn't try, and don't deserve respect. As Craig himself said, "Sometimes you're the hammer, and sometimes you're the nail."
What were your expectations this year that would make these results so “embarrassing”? and I prefer the analogy, some days you are the dog, some days you are the hydrant. No disrespect but we had no chance of being the dog today. Thanks to all three guys for representing and giving it a go and my hopes are that we get a little more prepared next year and not another last minute throw together effort.
I’m not even mad, I’m glad they went. Hot damn was that track hammered on.
Perplexing this ended up in here..........it is a legit thread that should be in the "moto" section.
I'm Aussie, I agree with what you said.
I think this is a fair point.
Unless my memory is failing me (very possible), sure I heard on Pulp that Honda offered Sexton support for the race.
Still find it a bit ironic Deegan was flying the US flag in the US Nationals but opted not to ride this event to really represent his country. Seems like a big missed opportunity for a self confessed patriot.
Massive respect to the guys that did step up though. Craigs arm injury looked ugly on his Youtube channel. Also think it takes some balls and integrity to enter this even knowing you're not the 'A team', but still having the balls to sack up and give it your best.
I will go further with the Decoster bashing. Each of these riders trains at a facility he specifies, on his bikes, he chose them for his teams. Chase(until next year), Eli, the Lawrences, Roczen, have nothing to do with him, his methods do not produce top riders in this country anymore. Nobody can deny Craig took a step back with the move to his team, and I would not be surprised Chase does.
Well done Frenchies! Every time they showed Febvre, I thought … The Dogger! Roczen still has it👍. Another reason to not rip & overwater every USA National track…Jet is human…. Thank-you Team USA for representing…..Euros are no joke outdoors! crème brûlée for all…
What are you... some type of communist!
