Good interview with Lusk on Racer X today. I'm glad he's still around and working with Davi really makes sense. They've both been through alot of the same crap throughout their careers. Family stuff, injuries that almost ended their careers, being on top then being overshadowed, everything.

I think it was1998? Lusk took out MC at St. Lous SX right at end of the race. I became an instant fan. That monday I was online looking for a Lusk t-shirt. Bought it and still wear it to this day. It's a little ratty and more of a gym/yard shirt now. Every time I put it on I smile and remember that weekend.

Good guy and one of very few winners, the sport misses those guys when they get knocked out of things early.

Really good interview.

Ezra does nothing to harm his image in that interview. Hes smart and well spoken with excellent perspective.

It's a historical fluke when a guy like Ezra comes along and he rides his whole career in the shadow of a phenom like MC, and you'd think he might be a little bitter about that, but he's not. I'm stoked that he has such a good perspective of his accomplishments in the sport. He's a good, level headed, balanced guy, and that's more important in life than winning races.

Yogi just needed a YZ300...

no way, them cr's were good!!

This dude was blazing fast but I think once he got injured it got kind of took that aggressiveness out of him..he was known for being that guy that wouldnt back down and throw bars.

Ezra's brother Shane posts here ( some times ).....and from what I read in that interview , things are going really good for both of them. It also explains why Shane don't swing by all that often here any more....he's up to his eye brows in school work!

Ezra.....is and always will be a complete badass on a bike! One of my favorite riders of all time and I always really dug his style on the bike. That dude , on a moments notice could just drop the hammer and make people look stupid.

Was always a big Ezra fan, he definitely had the potential to be SX champion and was the first guy to really take it to Jeremy with shear speed. I was so bummed when he got hurt immediately in 2000 - wasn't even his mistake. But anyway it's good to hear he's happy and still working with Davi.

I wonder how Ezra would have made out at Honda if that aluminum framed bike was still steel?


Seemed like he was real close to being a threat to MC but crashed out too much.

Good read, but...I don't know, I guess I was just hoping he would use some of his "Yogi-isms" everyone's always talking about.

First supercross race I ever went to - Phoenix in maybe '98 - he beat McGrath. Too bad I don't remember a thing about the race. We got home at like 10:30 that night and I couldn't believe I was allowed to stay up that late.

A very good interview. This sport often forgets the greats. Yogi was one of my favorite riders of all time. With me being a yankee,
I never met another guy named Ezra. My wife said it is a southern name....is this true?? " Ezra! ...grab that there SHOTGUN, and the COON HOUNDS too!! "

I read an interview with him where he said he loved the factory Honda's.

Ezra was a guy in the Old Testament. Has his own book and everything.

he was at his prime during the prime of the sport..late 90s / early 2000s

anyone remember the honda commercials w. him talking about 'flying' and going through a stadium ryythm section??

best commercial, ever.
