I heard (from a super-duper reliable source) that he wanted to make a comeback in SX, but the AMA tried to make him run #65, so he is packed up and headed to to AXUK with the #2.

McGrath got into it the mix too. He called the AMA asking for Villopoto to be stripped of the 2 from his bike as he isn't racing and McGrath brought up that his SX record is better so he should deserve it.

DC said the fans are getting confused on which retired racer is faster and both being number 2 and on a Kawasaki is fucking up the BRANDING for both riders and none of the fans know who is better.

Mo money mo problems.

He's still an ambassador for the brand. Considering he's spent his whole career with Kawasaki, I'm sure they'll keep him under some sort of PR related contract for as long as they can. Naturally, that includes a team bike, especially since he's still a Monster athlete as well.

just spoke to him. don't know if he was drunk as its 9:45am there right now, but he said he was interested in doing some type of RV2Seminars. maybe that's why the bikes headed up north?

Just another epic fail with the stupid NASCAR number system... A Honda sporting 14 will always be k dub to me, just like the yellow 4 will always be Rc...

I can always wish! He was up here earlier this summer fishing for halibut. I'm not sure where he ported out of, but I'm 90% sure I was in the same small coastal Alaskan town that he was on the same day.

I guess the years on Yamaha's amateur program don't count?

Every year Washougal has a race on New Years Day called the Hangover Hare Scrambles . You can run ice spike tires for that event . it goes through the woods , grass parking lot and part of the Mx track .
