He appeared to know what he was doing leading up to that. I’m surprised he would attempt such a steep transition at that speed.
My well wishes to him and his family for a speedy recovery. Hopefully he will ride once more.
The Shop
Really hope the rider is ok.
Tracks can have some tough / scary obstacles on them, but off-road stuff can get gnarly in a hurry when the terrain bites you like that.
Pit Row
Nowadays there's so much so called "content" on social media of crazy crashes or people doing crazy shit for their moment of fame. We are exposed to so much that we've become so desensitized and detached to it to realize that, as someone mentioned, these are or could be life changing moments for some. I guess some of this has been happening since the beginning of time and phones and the internet are just merely bringing it to light, but I wonder how much of it happens because of social media itself.
This was definitely not an "it can happen to anyone" situation. Give me a break.
I remember a couple years ago when a young woman drove drunk/high, live-streamed it until she crashed, then filmed her sister dead/dying...while narrating. The draw of “going viral” has truly brought out the worst in humanity. Sickening.
I think he planned on carrying the front over, but came down too soon.
I hope the guy is OK, that was brutal.
