To think how different the year could possibly have been if it didn't start out completely horrible with Dungey torpedoing him in A1. I think the odds of retirement are very high now.

Really feel for Yoshimura Suzuki, they have shown an amazing amount of loyalty and support for James in very difficult circumstances. I would have to agree with many, its time to retire.

It would've been about the same. He most likely would have crashed later in the race anyways.
Everybody wants to hate on him, but it's been one thing after another this year starting at A1 after not racing at all last year. I get it, many don't think he cares or is willing to put in the effort, but I feel he gave up on this year after A1. To wait all that time then get KO'ed immediately would take the wind out of many sails. Retirement or racing in '17, I don't really care either way. No shocker that he's not racing anymore this outdoor season after re-injuring his shoulder.
But seriously folks, I do wonder what his decision will be. Taking all things into consideration I would hope he'd take over the Susuky team and bring his bro along for the ride. Fooooh Fiddys for everyone !!!
i like james...but i get uncomfortable thinking about his time at yosh. did he make a full salary the whole time? i mean they didn't even get a half a season of riding from him the whole time. i get the luck thing (supercross opener) but theres 2 years of other stuff that was controllable. seemed like he came into this season un prepared after about a year off.
if i was yoshi, i would be heading for the doors with mx/sx and find nother type of racing to jump in where riders can make a full season more consistently.
Hey we all got problems ! !

That would be great, but I gave up hope long ago so anything from here is just a bonus for me. His decisions don't bother me like they apparently do some. I still respect the guy for what he's done, like all the greats. Can't wrap my head around the disrespect!

I have never been a diehard Bubba fan, but I am with you guys, not sure why all these dudes are so emotional about it? Let it go, the guy is gonna do what he is gonna do, and frankly the sport is better with him a part of it. If it makes you guys feel better about your own lives to bash on him, bash away, it's a forum and he'll get over it. Although, if you are seriously upset about what he does or doesn't do, while really having no fuggin clue what that really is, then rant on a message board about it, they have meds for that. See somebody, and your quality of life will improve dramatically...
He did win the Straight Rhythm Championship he had to go straight and he had to pin it. It was hot and the sun was bright it wasn't easy.Plus he had to go straight. So all and all another championship season in the books for JS7.Now he can refocus on getting McGraths record for wins in SX and then his NASCAR career.Faster than you faster than me another one like Bubba we might not ever see.

I've thought from the very start that a huge amount of what has been going on with James has been at least partially due to damage done from the concussion he suffered at A1 this past year. Since he "came back" from that, he has never looked like James Stewart...ever. I wouldn't blame him at all if he decided to piss on the fire and call it a day. He could be a great team owner and coach for Mookie and be a great husband and Daddy for his wife and son. I doubt he is hurting for money. He'd be fine.
I'm a huge fan, but I hate to think he'd come back at the low level (for him) that he has been at almost every time we've seen him.
I hear ya and I agree, James get the short end of every situation, whether perceived or in reality. But his perceived lack of commitment since 2010 in discouraging. Think about it, Villopoto came into the class what, 6 years after Stewart and won 6 quick 450 titles and retired all in the time Stewart was barely able to get through 1 whole season(not sure if he has) and had been on 4 different teams. Just sucks, that's all.
What a bummer, he's losing fans by the minute. Sure hope he can pull it together.

Hey Uptite. You called that one over a month ago. You da man!

This guy really needs a competent manager ... and a kick-ass trainer.
