Wacko must be a shoe-in for the RC hard charger after that.

Biggest comeback in motor sports as they were gushing for the last 5 minutes, then when he gets the bike to the podium we cut to a stagnant camera on the ground somewhere. No reason to see the triumph and excitement by Roczen, “let’s cut to the mounted cam in the mud”. Stupid NBC.

I wonder when the last time Baggett got lapped in an outdoor race was (without a DNF/major crash of course.)

Tomac was definitely on another level that second Moto. 43 second gap from second is crazy.

Kenny didn’t have it second moto and Tomac didn’t have it the first. The end results are a good start to the season for both.
The real surprise is Zac

He stopped caring after he realized he had nothing for him after that pass. I'm sure Kenny would have loved to have maximum points.

Tomac looked good in moto 2. Wonder what all the Euros think about that?

For the love of god, can we skip the US vs. Euro bullshit just once?

Yep. The motos are scored separately and Ken knows that. The “overall” is simply an “atta boy” for having two good races. Realistically it’s the points that matter most. Ken would have loved to have beat Eli and scored max points. He simply couldn’t hold his pace in the second Moto. Congrats to him on the overall though. It’s great to see him finally get that monkey off his back.

Second round will be interesting. Tomac didn't look great that first moto and I tend to think the old saying of "the mud is the biggest equalizer" played the biggest role in him winning the second moto, as well as Roczen backing it down because he knew he had the overall. Should be a good season, in my opinion Kenny is the favourite going forward.

Yup. That 2nd place finish in moto 2 was terrible. Idiot.

An unanswerable question. The MX/GP boys won't face each other enough to declare a definitive "fastest" rider.

Edit: I'll step out on a limb and say that no US rider has anything for Cairoli or a healthy Herlings. Yeah, I said it.

Well, 3 of the top ten and 8 of the top 20 are foreigners sooo they probably feel pretty damn good.

Don't think it's fair to say he "backed it down" because Zacho was coming right up his ass and Musquin was close behind considering they had almost a 20 second lead at one point!

I don’t think Baggett is ever going to be relevant for a championship in the big boy class.
He can’t seem to get use to the Katoom, but everyone else can.
By the time his contract is up, he’ll be up there in age.
He was such a beast outdoors on the Kawi 2fiddy.

Bleed orange, but he is so erratic.

The shock of that race was Anderson, I never dreamt he would ride so well.
Wasn’t on camera much, he’s fun to watch.

That second moto gap meant nothing, I'm surprised Roczen went as fast as he did after all the wins he lost at the last minute. Roczen was clearly the fastest today, if he keeps it up I think Tomac is in for a long summer when you add in Osborne, Webb, Marvin, and Anderson.

Did we just witness the greatest comeback from an injury ever. Tiger Woods level stuff?

It is an amazing story for sure. I hope he can reclaim the title and make it an even better story.

The racing action was so so. That's how it goes with this traditional format.

Right. A 40 second gap means nothing and the guy who finished second was clearly the fastest guy. Gotcha

Both ty and jake are really good mud riders. I think ty will be even better now that the 1st rd is out of the way. Ty’s only been on the 250f full time for 6 months too

last lap of Tomac was 3.07 and Roczen did it in 3.19 ...so yeah it means a lot Laughing Laughing

Fastest lap of Tomac 3.07 and Roczen 3.05 ...

it means nothing ...

Tomac was the faster and more comfortable rider that second moto , it was obvious Roczen didnt want to try and keep up with him and settle for second as it was enough for the win ..
