It’s hard to compete with legacy brands like Fox and Thor, but Fly has bridged the gap by supporting every level of the sport. I would love to see them step outside the box with design a bit more though.

Maybe it’s just the way the sport is going by leaving as much clean space as possible for other logos, but TLD seems to be figuring out ways to make stuff pop. All Fox needs to do is drop retro throwback stuff and people lose their shit. But when you don’t have that history, you need to figure something out.

I really like it. Im also thinking that when folk see riders on a bike using the gear its gonna turn heads. The Kinetic wave looks awesome. If you ride KTM and wear the Navy/Orange that is really going to pop.The Formula Carbon prime designs are on point.
Year on year i notice more riders in Fly and i dont see that changing.

I feel like the last 10 years all gear has been pretty crappy looking compared to late 90s and early 2000s stuff. Gear companies need to look at 95-05 and go do that.

Just checked my closet. Kinetic mesh and regular pants made in Vietnam, jerseys made in Taiwan and they hold up well. I am ok with that except the huge knee vents they started using in 2021 are not very strong.

Kinetic gloves are made in China, and they fall apart much more quickly than 100% and alpinestars gloves. Helmets are still made in China. I would like to see that change but everyone except the Japanese brands do that.

It’s fine. If you typically wear Fly you’re ordering some for sure.

I wouldn’t compare helmet manufacturing to clothing. China is really good at certain types of manufacturing.

Some aren't too bad but the designs are kind of all over the place. I've never expected to be blown away by fly, and a few of those kits I'd wear. I'd love to get my hands on some tech kits and design some stuff. I've done gloves but never gear.

Fly has and will always feel like a “parts catalog” brand. Their logo, designs, branding and overall presentation have spent the last ten years struggling to overcome the “parts book” look, and I’ve refrained from buying their gear as a result.

And it’s a shame. Their stuff is high quality. It does what you want it to. It’s reasonably priced and the gear lines feel distinct from one another. But I can never get over the fact that their gear looks like it was rolled into my monthly payment.

The only thing that's bugging me is that the kinetic gear to me looks way wayyy better than both the lite and Evo lines.
For me, I wish that fly would have flipped the aesthetic design of the lite gear with that of the kinetic gear. I would be ordering some right now, if that were that case!
That said, fly did an outstanding job the woman's lite gear. My wife was practically drooling over the purple set.

Go to canvasmx.com and you can design all your own gear with their software templates. Place logos anywhere you want and choose your own colors.

Design something and post it here.

I don't have inside knowledge of all the brands but I strongly feel Fly/WPS support the sport more than any other gear brand. Their support of races, privateers, and ametuer races is unmatched.
JT$ - I personally don't like the wild clown gear look and love this year's designs. I will be ordering multiple sets. Great job and don't believe all the negativity. Seems like in today's world only the negative people take the time to post

Fly needs to rebrand really, really badly. From a designers perspective their identity and mark has always been dated and off. It’s killing their design.

I always feel like their designers don’t study design itself and trends (not even trends in moto, but in any industry).

Year after year their product always looks so generic and dated.

The serif font on some of the lines this year - how did that pass through their process?

It sounds like they have the textile part of apparel figured out and it seems like their stuff is great quality but holy cow they always miss the mark with design.

Rebrand Fly. Hire professional identity and brand designers - start there. Then bring in some new designers - add to the team, get more input, study what other industries are doing and where design trends are going.

I see lots of references to "Fly looking like Fasthouse". Not even close - Fasthouse kills it in branding & design. They may not suit your taste, but their design and branding is very strong. Their icon / mark does not match their brand at all - thats their only "miss" in my eyes.

Here's my feedback, I think you need to decide on one logo and run with it because you keep changing it up. I personally like the block letter logo you were using a lot in '18 and '19. The gear is fine but your boots are horrible with that zebra striped buckle strap.

Here's a quick photoshop design I made with your old block logo and I fixed your boots:

Been wearing Fly a couple years now (After Alias went out of business, rip) and each year I’ve bought less and less sets. Last year’s stuff had a couple sets I really liked, so I was hopeful for more design and a little change up with colors this year, but that didn’t happen.

Bomber, your PS gear is sick. I would have bought that

Thats because its Kirkland brand mx gear. They will never nail it because its not part of their DNA.

Like others here I’m a long time fly wearer and will continue to be so because of the quality, and I like that fly supports a lot of the content I consume. I’m also a fan of JT. But yeah, it looks “meh”. I felt the same thing with last years stuff.

I'm really into clean designs and dark colours, so i totally dig the new stuff. But i do see where most of the complaints are comming from, if you're into the whole 80's bright neon look, there ain't much in there for you.
