Hey guys! I'm getting back into moto soon and was wondering if you guys have any boot recommendations of a decent boot that isn't near the 400-500 dollar range? I would love to get me some SG12s but that's not in the budget right now. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I have a set of Axo RC6's sitting in the garage. A little dirty, but they are still in decent shape. They are yours if you want them. Buys you some time to save up for some SG12's!

2018 Alpinestars Tech10s are discounted heavily right now. I've seen $399 at a few of the big online retailers. I bought a pair in September and have been very happy with them, though my brother's tech7s are much lighter. The tech7s have a lot more flex.

If you have wide feet...Gearne SG-10 or 12

If you have narrow feet...Sidi Crossfires (these run small).

Long time tech10 guy.. tried sg12’s, they were nice for a short time. After good and broken in I found the soles to be very flexible/flimsy. I put in dr shoels ( however it’s spelled) inserts and it helped a little. But could still feel the foot pegs on my feet, not a confidence inspiring feeling. ended up going back to tech10’s.

Jett are great for how inexpensive they are. Really depends on your foot. Wide or narrow, maybe even 'normal'?

Motorcyclecloseouts.com has fly sector boots for 219. They are made by tcx which makes really good boots. Thats like half off retail or more too. They also have tech 10s for like 370.

I went cheap for years, jus bought lightly used Tech 10, pretty big differnce in feel and support, assume the other high end boots are worth it too.

These are all websites that sell used mx boots. Here you should be able to find a top tier boot (sg12, t10,instinct, crossfire3) for mid or low tier prices.

I have the Forma Terrain TX. Probably the best bang for the buck out there. A hinged Italian boot that you can now get for $200.

SG12, worth it, you'll end up needing to replace a pair that costs half as much in half the time.

My vote goes for Sidi Crossfires.
Awesome boots, very comfy and protective.
Contact Ryan Amolis from our forum or visit mxlockers.com, he has some incredible deals.

Hey Turbo. Grab your sidis and do a test. Put one hand at the top of the boots, other hand put your thumb just under the ankle pivot. Now put sideways force on it. Just under the pivot is an incredible weak spot and a massive risk for injury. I had a massive dislocation and break to my ankle in a pair of sidis from a jump that wasnt even that bad of a landing.

Sidis for a long time were so well reviewed i bought them and found out the hard way of the weakness on my own. 6 months no weight on that ankle, 9 months until i walked even at an 80 year olds pace.

Sg12’s all day long, best boot on the market in my eyes. Don’t go cheap on the equipment, spend less on the bike if you have to conserve money somewhere
