3/23/2019 7:02am This forum needs a section for riders to find other riders to ride with. and places to go ride. I been riding and racing for years and almost everyone I did know that rode has either got out of it or broke either there bike or body and don't ride any more.

3/21/2019 10:03am You know the AMA rules book says "3. For each class, the recommended program is two 15- minute motos." It's been since the early 90's since I have seen anywhere close to a 15 minute moto.. some are 12 at best.

3/21/2019 6:24am I live in a small town, when I was a kid you could get bikes, sleds, bats, balls, all kinds of bike parts to fix bikes and more than a few stores in town had them. I don't even think you could buy any of that in the same town today.. You are right I never see kids out side...

3/21/2019 6:19am I blame internet connected video games. There are kids in my neighborhood, but I RARELY ever see them outside. Many kids today just sit in front of the TV playing video games against their friends who are sitting in front of the TV at their house while all talking to each other over headsets. That garbage is now being called Esports. If your body isn't moving, then it isn't a sport!

3/21/2019 6:13am The biggest reason I quit going was , The hours of travel just to get to the track and like many have said here, the lack of track time. and the fact that it was always dark by the time we got home.

3/21/2019 5:57am It always comes back to VALUE. I love racing but spending a shitload of money to sit around all day just to ride 15 laps all by yourself (lots of classes = smaller gates = less dicing) is stupid. Most I know realize that $20 and 4 hours of open practice with your buddies brings way more value than going racing. When there are 25+ classes, the gates get thin, the racing feel goes away, and as such, the value to the rider diminishes. In 2017, Colorado decided to hold a 6 race crossover series between the 2 main organizations...

3/21/2019 5:52am MX race formats need to be looked at, there's so much that could be improved. For one, it sucks spending a whole day to spin two 5-10 minute moto's that can be 6 hrs apart that cost you $45 and whatever other mandatory membership you need for the day that costs an additional $40-50, and you might get a 5 minute practice before the racing. Plus, most peoples attitudes at the track are based off their ego. There's a reason off road racing numbers are growing, more riding, friendlier crowd, more fun. Just my .02

3/20/2019 4:32pm If the compression ratio of the engine isn't high enough to need a higher octane fuel, then higher octane fuel won't give it more power at all. In fact it can lower power. Higher octane fuel doesn't detonate as quickly as lower octane fuel. It does burn cleaner and leaves less carbon buildup on piston and plug, but if the engine isnt predetonating and needing more octane, race fuel doesnt do shit. The 112-114 ctane stuff can actually make less horsepower in a stock engine. The air density plays a part too. At higher altitudes, even less octane is needed.

At least two laps down you should be getting the boot. 18th place was lapped twice 4 times so far this year, 17th twice, and 16th once.

3/20/2019 1:50pm What about having a few guys watching the riders at the back of the pack? Guys rolling most jumps and whoops? Get them off the track. If you're not trying, you shouldn't be out there. Either way, something needs to be done because having a close battle for the lead messed up because of a lapper being in the way ruins racing for us fans.
