After listening to the press conference, post race interviews, Pulp review, etc; the narrative appears to be "Sexton won because of the whoops". I wondered if that was actually the case. The whoops represented about 17 seconds of a 54 second lap, or a little over 31% (this was based on looking at Chase's lap 15, I just tried to pick a middle of the road lap for Sexton). I went back to the replay of the race to try and determine where Sexton had his biggest lead and best I can tell it was around the 3:00 minute mark...

4/8/2014 7:00am i never understood why people think seattle gets muddy or is a mudder track. its only got truely muddy once, and that was in 06. rained a little in 05 but the track was still do able. and every year after that the track was just soft. i wish it would get muddy. mix it up a bit!
