As far as comparing to the history of the sport, Sexton is 26 years old. Ryan Villopoto had retired by 26. Carmichael retired a year later. Dungey retired a year later. Sexton is basically old. There should be more American 20-year-olds competing for wins in the 450 class. Who is the best American in the 450 class (after Deegan) under age 25? Garrett Marchbanks? It really does seem like there is a generation of great moto riders missing from America.

Americans are entitled, stupid, and lazy. “Oh, it’s hot, I can’t train. Oh, I have an ingrown toenail, I need to take the season off. Oh, I hurt my knee so I need to take a year off. I’m just going to surf and sit on the couch. Oh, my bike setup is wrong so I can only ride at 50%. But I still need my paycheck.”

I can watch, all Australian and Canadian series on youtube for free and it has better race coverage. Having the mindset to not improve is something I will never understand. It is vey freaking simple. Obvious mistakes over and over again with easy fixes. It is the lack of giving a shit that matters to me. Simple improvements mean progress and showcasing our sport in the best way possible. EXAMPLE: Weege and Stew expressing surprise when they finally “notice” Hunter took the lead. Hell, he was in lead over 30 seconds before they noticed. Complete shit show. Get a Malin, you don’t need two announcers. At least we don’t have to listen to the shrill Will Christian telling us who she talked to.
