He's fortunate that Chase and Tomac aren't out there. Jett and Hunter have Deegan clocked. They can run his pace for the full moto, they're just cerebral with it. If #38 slows even a little, or has a bad lap, makes a mistake, etc. they pounce, put on a couple of heater laps to break any latching on, and either maintain a manageable gap or pull away.
