This is the sad reality of our sport. This kid was supported in Amateurs for a long time, gets called up to race a few pro races in 2022 outdoors and is supposed only do a few outdoors then go back to Loretta's but the team keeps him on all summer. He has a decent summer for a rookie (1 top 10 / multiple top 20's) and is dropped from the team. He really only got half of a year to prove himself and is spit out from the sport? Pretty crazy.

Statistics say that 90% of people with mono have Epstein Bar Syndrome. I had mono as a teen a couldn’t get up to take a piss without feeling exhausted. It last for like 6-8 weeks if I remember correctly. I lost like 25 lbs. Might not see him back til SX. Hopefully not
