Whoever "Gate Drop" is, he does really good interviews. Always asks good questions and somehow gets very in depth answers. Two thumbs up from me.

They are the factory team and face of Kawasaki in USA. It comes with the job to not only highlight the positive when sun i shining. Everyone can do that job. But this has always been the case with Kawi. Eli struggle, not a word. AC and Anderson struggle and dont like the bike, not a word. And now Prado. Its poor culture. They are not alone, but definitely bottom of the list of open teams.

Do you relly believe he is so mentally worn out? If so it would be career ending. He is still young but it’s definitely a huge and unexpected bump on the road.

To be fair I totally agree with all that and wasn't trying to make an excuse, more trying to add some perspective. It doesn't help as you have mentioned above, other people seem to manage and adapt a lot quicker. But hey, it's different for everyone and people handle things in other ways. He could be struggling with it more than people realise. That's mainly what I meant.

I moved from England to Australia with my Mum, Dad and brother in 2009. It is still so hard not being with the rest of the family 15 years later. That is one of the hardest things, you go from your normal life to basically completely alone other than your immediate family. Add in losing friends and having to make new ones. Even these things alone are hard. Now chuck in food, travel, area, people and culture. People are underestimating how hard it actually is.

Much, much too late but finally got around to watching the races and it’s so nice to see a good performance from Van Doninck, it seems like that guys been through it all with injuries so to put up a result like that showcases how incredibly talented he is

To me, that’s disrespectful to that racer. He paid hundreds of dollars to compete at one of your races. And you stopped a whole race for him, because he has a potentially a life threatening injury, carted off the track in a stretcher sometimes even. But no mention of him at all? Like at all? Just avoiding the subject and go on talking about Jett or Chase…..

He is a hired professional but he is also a human. A lot of things weigh on him and he obviously isn’t performing. I think he has run out of gas mentally. Team, bike, culture, opponents, being homesick. Facing all the above at the same time isn’t easy. Big kudos to those that can overcome all those hurdles. Prado clearly...

That's why it was an excellent interview. It's not the media's job to blow their subjects. They're supposed to ask tough questions. The trouble is in moto - unlike most other domains - the subjects (teams and riders) think it's okay to blacklist anyone who encroaches on their safe spaces. Of course some moto 'journalists' would continue deepthroating even if this wasn't the case. I'm looking at you Swap.

Most of people knew beforehand that that the track was shitty (lots of social media discussion about the track building) for viewing and the fastest Finnish riders weren't even riding there. Plus the expensive tickets so it was an easy choice to stay home or head to nearest beach instead.

Thank you for the kind words. But I was just trying to live the moto dream, moved to the US to give Supercross a go. And later Italy to race the Italian championship. It didn’t work out. But the memories stay with me forever. Glen Helen Invitational 1999. I’m old 🤣

I had higher hopes Finland could deliver a decent gp. They failed on pretty much every point. Track✅ Wildcard riders ✅ Visitors ✅ At least they were lucky with the weather. I know there’s a huge interest for motorsport in Finland so I’m actually quite surprised how bad the event turned out! Any input from out members from Finland?

Was on site watching. Kinda regret spending (too much) money on the ticket now, only redeeming factor being that I got to spend the day with a friend. Going to just list why: - Amount of GP/MX2 participants a joke - Track environment not pleasing to the eye at all - Event arrangements seemed sloppy all around - Rules seemed to prohibit spectators from bringing anything of their own to drink. It wasn't enforced on me as I got to bring a few bottles of water. Others said they weren't allowed even that. And it was sunny, 29 celsius /...

Checked the track today and it’s going to be fast and slippery especially in the early practices. I predict many tipovers through the weekend.

If you have access to one and someplace to try this out take something like an XR250 out in a field and lay out a course with some ribbon. No (or minimal) jumps, just a fun easy to ride track. Obviously the bike has worlds less suspension and power and this is gonna seem really lame but ride for about 1/2 hour. I'll bet anything you have a bigger smile on your face than you've had on any modern bike in years, and if you have friends there it'll quickly turn into who can spin the fastest lap. This is...

What sort of shit kicker is canning Herlings, the man is a GOD in our sport. Yes, his internal structure may not be as solid as other racers, but hell, what a great athlete and showman he's been. European racing is not the same without him on the gate. A man whom is in the unique position that can speak his mind, where others are locked into corporate puppetry, Jeffrey will say what's on his mind, and totally get away with it. We're missing this in our sport. Get well soon Mr Herlings, can't want to see the great man...
