5/13/2019 3:16am Don't get the 2017. The 2018 MXR is much better if you can find one.

9/26/2018 3:48am I rode one a Briarcliff a couple weeks ago. I only got to ride it in the field but it was SWEET! I had it on the 4th map and was at a high rate speed and it still pulled a wheelie with my fat 230lb ass on it. The guys I rode had a hand brake system on it and took the foot brake off. It just felt smooth and I think its even cooler that he doesn't have to worry about anything with his feet now lol I could see myself owning one in a couple years

9/26/2018 3:47am There was a new mx track proposal here in WA, made it through all kinds of permitting, then ultimately was shut down by the greenies on appeal. Their biggest issue was noise. I'd like to see the owners resubmit the plans as an electric only mx track.

9/26/2018 3:47am The Alta will out-turn any Yamaha right out of the box. I also don’t see where you’re getting that you need to buy a bunch of stuff to make the bike rideable, there was nothing grossely out of whack with the bike I test rode that I don’t think could be fixed with sag and clickers. I might want some different bars or something, but I’m kind of tall and that’s just par for the course. If you want to have an unpopular opinion that’s fine, but making things up isn’t an opinion.

9/25/2018 5:14am Such fun to watch Alta chip away at the non-believers. But they are just chipping away, not mass converting. As been said for years: "E-bikes (or E-Anything) are just a couple of technical advances to be totally mainstream".

9/25/2018 5:14am I bought a new 2019 KTM 350 XC-F. In a way, I hope it is my last ICE bike. When the Alta can finish a 2 hour Hare Scrambles/GNCC race, I'm buying one. I would've bought one now, but Alta admits it won't quite make it in map 2. I am looking for about 10 acres semi-close to town, so being able to ride on my property without offending neighbors is HUGE for me. The Alta will make this possible I hope in the next few years... I might agree that a clutch could be helpful when negotiating some trail...

9/25/2018 3:30am Let me just express my disappointment that an American manufacturer is providing a solid product to riders that is a unique alternative to anything else on the market. I'm especially pissed that they're making a solid effort to support races that allow them to compete and continually taking in feedback from riders and their experiences at the races to further improve their product. What's worse, they're even putting out entertaining content and taking a unique approach to marketing. Those ass holes, how do they even sleep at night knowing how much they support moto and off-road and how awesome of...

9/2/2018 12:17pm I have 20 hours on my 2018 MXR, I think I would do it again. I got the MXR back to ride on property that I have a track, so I could ride as much as I want and not have annoy neighbors. Here are the positives: Handles as good as any bike I have ridden, can get an inside corner after jump easier than my 2017 250sx or 350 xcf Only notice the weight when lifting on the stand. So easy to hit a jump out of corner, always in perfect gear and never have to shift. The bike...

9/2/2018 12:17pm I rode one last weekend at a demo. They only gave you one lap, but it only took a couple turns to not notice the lack of clutch. I hit everything in that one lap that I'd been hitting on my 350. One lap initial impressions: Felt top heavy at first when rolling onto track, but after stuffing it into a couple corners, it felt lighter the harder you rode it. I only did the lap in level 3, and totally forgot about level 4. Fun bike, and the torque is unreal coming off a 350. Wish I would have...

9/2/2018 12:16pm So everyone seems to say the same thing, and it's not about the powerplant! Best handling bike they've ever rode. Feels light. Who would have thought that?

8/25/2018 5:08am Thats not exactly true. It would be best practice to NOT run a lithium ion completely down. The software in the bike is supposed to keep the battery in a safe range so when it’s “dead” it’s not really dead anyway. So the short answer is charging between motos is not supposed to be detrimental in any way to the battery.

8/24/2018 3:19am I always rode with two fingers on the clutch and two fingers on the front brake lever. I adjusted pretty quickly. When I was in WA over the summer for vacation we rode KTMs and it all came back naturally to clutch and shift as if I never rode an Alta before. After we came back I got on the...

8/23/2018 5:55pm Have you ridden one yet? Some guys don't want to try it because they are afraid they'll like it. Not me saying that. They actually say that! Don't get me wrong, I still love the sound of 2 strokes and 4 strokes. Last year I had a YZ125. Bought it because I love the sound and how light they are...
