Rough guess.....5 years or more, base of 7mil or above. God only knows what a bonus structure could look like....... Honda has learned from past mistakes of letting elites walk off, they are not letting this kid out of their sight....... And his brother, I don't see him going anywhere else either when his time comes. Honda has a long term goldmine on their hands, and they know it. The entire package works, and is proven. The family has earned this, and will continue to do so........

Dirt bike racer enjoys racing his dirt bike for money. Shocking.

Racing on off weekends is a big reason why he got back to the level that he did in the second half of the season. He was injured in the offseason, came in way behind Prado and Gajser in terms of preparation, it would have been extremely difficult to catch them up if he was only doing the same races as them. I think its both. The guy simply loves to ride. And he absolutely loves money. But i dont think racing in the non gp weekends cost him the world title. He simply wasnt good enough in the 1st half of the season.

Herlings has more money than anyone needs. If money was his motivation, he’d be retired. He clearly loves racing his dirt bike which is why he keeps doing it. Love him or hate him, as a fan of the sport I think you have to realize he adds a whole lot to it

Herlings said at begining of this year,that JL18 is fastest rider in the world,even his 2017 form could be not so good...so i dont see him doin full season,we can hope for some rounds,similar like Cairoly did,with about same results

Let's hope he survives SX. 17 rounds is no joke. And hopefully he gels with the bike. First time in his life on a different bike than KTM or GG. Can go either way
